About This Demo

Welcome to KINT! An online MMORPG that's completely text-based.

This is a game where players discover lore and must vote together for it to be marked as the truth.

What happens if you find multiple things that conflict? Then the players will have to resolve it - majority wins.

EXPLORE

Explore the world of Seram.

Almost 100 years ago, the Kilns arrived, and with that, life as we knew it had changed forever.

Your job is to venture into the different lands and research everything that you can: how the people live, the nature that exists, why the Kilns arrived and what the gifted Ferrus can actually do.

COLLECT

By interacting with Objects and People across each region, you will discover lore fragments.

These are key in KINT. By building up your codex, you will help us map out the entire world.

The decided truth is marked as Canonized for all players to see, no matter what land they're currently in.

PROPOSE

Each week, you'll be able to make one proposal for canonization.

These proposals contain lore fragments about a single codex topic.

You can add multiple fragments to a proposal, but it'll cost Insight.

You can also add information to other players' proposals and even vote on topics, so they may be chosen for Canonisation each weekend.

CONFLICT

Before fragments are Canonized (the truth for all players), they will have to be reviewed.

Each Saturday (Selldae) you will see a group of fragments that conflict and choose one you hold as the truth.

Hearsay and stories told over time may cause a lot of inconsistencies, so it's up to the entire playerbase to address them.

CANON

On the last day of each week, the players will see what fragments are Canonized by the highest vote, and these are marked in the Codex as the truth.

From these, XP is earned toward your researcher rank based on your contributions.

SOCIAL

Your friends list from Steam will be available, and you can add friends in-game.

Each day, you can send a Lore Fragment to a friend via the mailbox, no matter which land they are in.

There's also a chat for the current region you're in, so you can tell other players if something is happening in the area.

ACCESSIBILITY

Kint has multiple accessibility settings, with more being added throughout development.

Including support for Open dyslexia- a font to improve the readability of text for those with Dyslexia.

LIVING WORLD

KINT is truly a live online game without needing update cycles.

Maybe an NPC you talked to yesterday is no longer there, maybe there's an event happening in a town you're heading to.

Unlike other MMOs, places you started in or have travelled away from might still be important to visit.
