Crown of Bones is a story-driven stealth adventure about a skeleton exploring a dungeon in search of a way to become human.

One day, a nameless skeleton hears a rumor that even the dead can be transformed into humans through magic.

Determined to find out whether the story is true, the skeleton enters a vast dungeon and discovers a strange new ability:

The power to consume another race’s Magic Stone and transform into one of their kind.

Hide Among the Bones

When your identity is exposed and escape seems impossible, search for a nearby pile of bones.

As a skeleton, you can collapse your body and disguise yourself as part of the pile. Remain still until your enemies lower their guard, then rebuild yourself and continue your journey.

By combining transformation, stealth, deception, and environmental hiding, you can survive dangerous encounters without confronting powerful enemies directly.

Turn Your Enemies Against Each Other

Not every problem needs to be solved through combat.

Infiltrate rival factions, spread false information, create suspicion, and manipulate them into fighting one another.

When chaos breaks out, use the opportunity to enter restricted locations, steal valuable resources, or obtain the Magic Stones you need.

Choose which factions to support, which characters to deceive, and which conflicts to provoke. The balance of power inside the dungeon can change depending on your actions.

Infiltrate Enemy Territory

The dungeon is home to many different factions, including goblins, undead creatures, human knights, and other mysterious races.

Transform into the same race as the inhabitants of an area, and they will no longer attack you. Walk freely through their territory, speak with them, gather information, and uncover secrets that would otherwise remain hidden.

Enter while disguised as the wrong race, and you will immediately be treated as an enemy.

Study the relationships between each faction and carefully choose which form to take before crossing into dangerous territory.

More Than 30 NPCs and Interconnected Quests

The dungeon is inhabited by more than 30 unique NPCs, each with their own goals, secrets, relationships, and personal conflicts.

Their quests are not isolated side stories. Each mission is connected to the main narrative and can lead into a chain of unexpected events.

A simple request may trigger a war between factions, expose another character’s secret, or completely change the fate of someone you have already met.

The story develops differently depending on who you meet first, which clues you discover, and how you choose to complete each quest.

There Is More Than One Solution

Every quest can be approached in multiple ways.

You may persuade someone through conversation, transform into another race and steal the information you need, manipulate two factions into fighting each other, or discover a hidden route that allows you to complete your objective without being seen.

Explore the dungeon carefully. Investigate conversations, abandoned objects, hidden rooms, and environmental clues.

A clue you overlook may close one path, while an unexpected discovery may open an entirely new branch of the story.

Music composition — The original soundtrack was produced using AI music generation tools. All tracks were selected, curated, and arranged by the developer before inclusion.
Some visual art — A portion of the in-game artwork (including select sprites and environmental elements) was created with assistance from AI image generation tools. Final selection, editing, and integration were handled by the developer.

Crown of Bones is a dark fantasy roguelike set in a cursed underground dungeon. The game contains stylized pixel-art violence: monster-on-monster combat with blood particles, hit effects, and small blood stain decals. Players may encounter decorative elements depicting dead adventurers' corpses, piles of skeletal remains, broken gravestones, and body-horror imagery (flesh walls, eye-bearing plants) in the deepest biomes. The tone is melancholic and occasionally grim — the game's soundtrack explores themes of isolation, the desire to change oneself, and the psychological weight of being "the monster."
