Why Early Access?

“STARCULT Night Twisted Age combines a very wide branching narrative, murder mystery, romance, and an Emotion Palette that shapes dialogue, relationships, and the protagonist’s personality. Early Access lets us gather player feedback as we develop the remaining acts, helping us refine the clarity of these systems, improve the interface, art, animations and address technical issues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately three to five months, with the full release planned for Q1/Q2 2027. This estimate may slightly change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to begin Early Access with Act 1(incl. Prologue) and expand the story with Acts 2 and 3. The full version is intended to include all three acts, developing the murder investigation, supernatural mysteries, and nine planned romances. We also plan to refine the gameplay experience and presentation based on feedback gathered during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes Act 1, introducing Silviya Nebula and the investigation into her husband’s murder. Players can use the Emotion Palette( incl. mixing double colours) to unlock different dialogue responses, shape Silviya’s personality, and influence her relationships. The story is not yet complete; Acts 2 and 3 are planned for later updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through our Discord community and Steam discussions. Players can report bugs and share their experiences with the Emotion Palette, dialogue choices, interface, and story. This feedback will help us identify issues and prioritize improvements as we develop the remaining acts.”

STARCULT Night Twisted Age is a dark fantasy visual novel with romance and horror elements, set in a mysterious world on the brink of catastrophe.

Explore the life of Silviya - an artist in a world where art extends far beyond paints and pastels. She married Hans Nebula, the young head of the family, hoping to start a new chapter in her life.

Instead, Hans is killed on their wedding night by an unknown monster, which devours half of his head.

Use Silviya's 'Emotion Palette' to unlock her hidden potential, uncover the true feelings and intentions of friends and foes, influence the behaviour of those around her, make others do what you want, and walk the line between sweet madness and painful reality.

Escape the countless death endings hidden between your choices. Reveal the true nature of the world Silviya inhabits.

Choose from different types of relationships: passionate, romantic, toxic, sadistic, codependent, casual, open or platonic.

Shape your own path

Shape the story through meaningful choices that lead to unique storylines: 'Detective', 'Hedonistic', 'Mystical', 'Nihilistic' and 'Ascension', as well as secret endings waiting to be discovered.

The developers describe the content like this:

STARCULT is intended for an older audience. The game contains scenes and references to the following: philosophical topics about death, morality and psychological violence in a fantasy world.

It also contains scenes and depictions of graphic violence, sex, nudity, strong language, alcohol and drug references, self-harm, torture and dismemberment. The player will not access those without a choice. Player discretion is advised.
