What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Necroforge: Outbreak is being developed in Early Access because we want to build the game together with the community while continuing active development.

The core gameplay loop is already playable and we believe the game is at a stage where player feedback can meaningfully help shape combat feel, progression systems, balance, difficulty scaling, controls, and overall game pacing.

Our goal is to expand the game step by step during Early Access by improving the existing systems and adding new content such as additional playable classes, enemies, maps, relics, progression mechanics, events, visual improvements, audio polish, and long-term replayability features.

We are committed to actively supporting the game throughout Early Access, listening to community feedback, fixing bugs, improving performance, and continuing development until the game reaches a more complete and polished full release state.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Necroforge: Outbreak to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to significantly expand the amount of content, gameplay variety, and overall polish available in the Early Access version.

Planned additions include:
- Multiple playable classes with unique combat styles
- Additional maps and biome variations
- More enemy types and elite enemies
- Expanded relic, upgrade, and progression systems
- More abilities, weapons, and build combinations
- Improved balancing and difficulty progression
- Additional visual effects, animations, sounds, and environmental detail
- More gameplay events and replayability systems
- Better UI/UX and accessibility improvements
- General optimization and bug fixing

The current Early Access version focuses mainly on the core gameplay foundation and core combat systems.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains a playable core gameplay experience focused on survival combat against large groups of enemies in a dark fantasy environment.

The game currently includes:
- One playable character
- Core melee combat gameplay
- Enemy hordes with scaling difficulty
- Basic progression and leveling systems
- Relics and upgrades
- One playable environment/map style
- Survival-focused gameplay loop
- Original stylized visuals and atmosphere
- Basic UI and gameplay systems

The game is still actively in development. Players may encounter bugs, incomplete systems, placeholder elements, balancing issues, and missing content during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase after Early Access as more content, features, and overall polish are added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role during development.

We plan to use player feedback to improve gameplay feel, balancing, progression systems, controls, difficulty scaling, and overall game design decisions. Feedback from the community will help us identify which systems are the most enjoyable and which areas need improvement.

Players will be able to share feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and ideas through Steam discussions and other community channels as development continues.

We intend to actively monitor feedback during Early Access and use it to help prioritize updates and future improvements.”
