About This Game

Burnt Out is a vaporwave puzzle roguelike. Tap keycaps to trigger chain reactions, build score multipliers, and survive the hostilities of corporate "colleagues" trying to overrun your grid, all while climbing an oppressive megacorp's organizational chart.

CHAIN-REACTION HEX COMBAT

Tap a keycap and it fires along its arrows into neighboring keycaps, setting off a cascade across the grid. Line it up right and a single tap can ripple through the whole board. Keycaps refill endlessly, so every turn is a fresh puzzle: read the arrows, spot the clusters, and trigger the longest chain you can.

Special keycaps push it further. Relays extend your chain's reach into clusters you couldn't otherwise hit, while multipliers and power-ups boost your score with every link. Chain them together to blow past each level's goal — and hold your boundary before the workforce breaks through.



ROGUELIKE PROP BUILDS

Defeat each boss and loot a permanent Prop — passive buffs like extra turns, chain relays, and special triggers. Stack them across a run to build combos that bend the rules in your favor. Fail, and you start fresh: it's permadeath.

POST-IT BUILDS FROM THE INTRASHOP

Spend your currency at the Intrashop on Post-its — equippable items that reshape how your run plays out. Each one bends the rules differently: bigger chains, fatter multipliers and new ways to score. Mix and match them to build a loadout that snowballs into something broken.
