About This Game

Contested Space is a roguelike deckbuilder where you build your deck in every battle. Cards rotate through a personal market during every battle, forcing constant trade-offs between firepower now and a stronger deck later. Pick your faction, draft on the fly, and carve a path through hostile sectors one run at a time.

• 6 factions across two alliances. Field the disciplined Terran Compact, the symbiotic Chitin Sovereignty, or play as Neutral within either alliance for flexible cross-faction synergies.

• Team up in online co-op. Draft from your own markets and take on tougher enemies designed for 2-4 players.

• No two runs play the same. While seed generation, branching star maps, and random encounters setup new challenges, you will also face random elite enemies, hidden events, and unique bosses keep you on your toes.

• Handcrafted pixel art. Original ships, animated stations, and parallax starfields rendered at a crisp 640x360.

• 20 escalating Incursion levels add new modifiers and threats for players chasing mastery.

• Draft your market at the beginning of the run, or use the prebuilt market for your faction. 

Contested Space has the familiar run structure of most deckbuilding roguelikes, with a new twist on combat and deck upgrades.
