Why Early Access?

“I want to make Luminara: The Second Dawn the best it can be, and the best way to do that is to involve players while I'm still actively developing it. Early Access lets me put the game in players' hands, gather feedback on core systems, and refine the experience based on what the community enjoys most. The game is playable now, but player input will help shape the final direction.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Less than a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan for the full release to be a significantly expanded experience. While the core 11-year journey is already in place, I'm working on adding major side quests for all main characters, more romanceable characters, new main story quests, additional cities to explore, more endings, and endgame content. Several core systems may also evolve based on player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes the core 11-year journey from age 10 to adulthood, with over 50 endings already playable. However, the game is still in active development. Only 7 of 12 main characters have their complete side quests implemented so far, and only one traveling city (Virensgate) is currently open for exploration. The main story is not yet complete, endgame content is missing, and several new core systems are currently being worked on. The remaining characters, cities, endings, story content, and new systems will be added based on community feedback during Early Access. While the existing core systems are functional, I'm actively developing major content and features with player input shaping the final direction.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version is priced lower than the planned full release. As I add more cities, characters, and endings, the price will increase. Buying in Early Access lets you get the game at a lower price while helping shape development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'll be active on the Steam forums and Discord to read feedback, answer questions, and see what players want most. Suggestions that fit the game will help me decide what to work on next.”

About This Game

You are a traveling merchant and a single father. For 11 years, your daughter's future rests in your hands.

Start your journey when she is 10 years old. Every month, you choose her path: study, work, adventure, shop, socialize, or rest. Will she become a Living Legend? An Enchantress? A humble tavern cook? Or something no one expects?
