Wozu Early Access?

„This is a project of passion, something I've wanted to create for a long time, and I finally feel I have the knowledge and skill to produce it... but I want to produce something that others will enjoy.

I welcome ideas and feedback, and want to involve the community as much as possible in turning this into its final product. I have a clear vision for where I want to take it, but I would love to go on a journey with passionate players to get there.“

„I would love to say this will be in Early Access as short a time as possible, because I want people to play it... but I am one developer (currently) and one who holds quite a high standard when it comes to his own artistic expression, so I think it's realistic to say that this project could take 1 to 2 years to release a full version.“

„The plan is for the full version to contain a fully fleshed out story line, with branching side quests and multiple endings. There is also the possibility of a post-story "end game" style game mode that could form the basis of a multiplayer option, or perhaps even an MMO style play mode.

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„VERY early pre-ALPHA. Whilst it is "playable" in its current form, the game loop is incomplete and the story is only just beginning. Technically the basis of the game is in place but there are a lot of features still to add.

Current Features:
- Fully procedurally generated galaxy of up to 1,000,000 stars of varying classifications
- Customise the galaxy you play in
- Stars have orbiting planets of varying types and combinations
- Space stations in orbit of some stars
- Explore in galaxy space in your ship, visit star systems and land on planets and space stations to explore on foot
- Land on every terrestrial planet (so, not the gas ones, obviously)
- Collect resources and sell them at space stations
- Buy and install ship upgrades or new ships
- Early 'tutorial' introductory dialogue and assistance“

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„I REALLY want to hear what the community think. I'm open to ideas, suggestions, story line synopses, anything that can flesh out the game and make it more enjoyable. I have a discord server that will have a specific channel for Early Access members to make and discuss suggestions, and a forum for discussing bugs, suggestions and anything that people want to talk about.

Suggestions from the community have already been added to the game and have shaped how it will develop from here on. I want to make the game people want to play.

Depending on how things go, I may also be looking to hire artists, writers or similar from the community to make the game the best it can be.“
