About This Game

GAME IS IN EARLY PROTOTYPE PHASE

KEY FEATURES

  • Active Mid-Battle Deckbuilding: Steal cards from enemy hands or sabotage their deck with your own. Break seals to manifest new powers and refine your strategy while the fight is still raging.

  • Four Primal Archetypes: No pre-set characters. Combine four powerful essences to craft a unique playstyle. With 300+ cards, the combinations are limited only by your insight.

  • Asymmetric Combat: Enemies play their own cards and declare intentions. Anticipate their combos and frustrate their plans to survive the Void.

  • Agency Over Luck: A roguelite where planning outweighs RNG. Every choice echoes forward, altering the narrative and your capabilities.

ABOUT THIS GAME

You were just doing your job. Unpacking boxes for a living. Clocking hours. Trying to get home to your loved ones.

Then your reality abruptly ended, consumed by The Void.

Now you stand in the Oneiron Expanse - a shattered desert of impossible stars, living stone, and forgotten worlds - holding a dagger that whispers in your mind. Your universe has been erased, devoured by entities that consume existence itself. Everyone you loved is gone.

Except your memory.

In this world, power isn’t cast. It’s daydreamed.

A World Unmade, A Journey Looped Discover a realm where the laws of reality have dissolved and strategy is your only currency for survival. Should you fail, the Expanse pulls you back, allowing you to loop through time with your hard-won memories and powers intact. Track down the Dreamwright and dream your world back into existence.

WHAT SETS DREAMWRIGHT APART

In-battle Deck Manipulation: Why wait for the end of a match? Use your whispering dagger to steal an enemy's key card, or break ancient seals to manifest powerful reinforcements when you need them most. Your deck is a living thing, changing with every strike.

Flexible Deck Crafting: Abandon rigid character classes and preconstructed decks. With over 300 cards to discover, you are the architect of your own power. Master four dream archetypes [Nightmare, Lucid, Dissonance, Liminal] and weave them together. Experiment with dual and triple-archetype cards to craft a "dreamed deck" that plays like no one else's.

Smart enemies and asymmetric play: Face enemies that play by your rules. Your opponents use cards and execute complex combos, but they are bound by the same logic as you. Watch their declared intentions, disrupt their timing, and turn their own mechanics against them.

Consequence-Heavy Agency: This isn't a game of rolling dice. Combat rewards the prepared mind. While the paths through the Oneiron Expanse are unpredictable, your success is determined by your choices. Decisions made in narrative encounters echo forward, permanently altering your capabilities and the world’s reaction to you.

Deep Enough to Master: Approachability meets tactical depth. Simple mechanics draw you into the Oneiron Expanse, but the layered systems and broad set of card interactions offer immense depth for those who want to push the limits of reality.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The game is set in a primordial world where human laws and moral constructs do not exist. The narrative adopts a "Naturalist" tone—depicting survival, predation, and violence as indifferent biological realities rather than "good" or "evil." While the text can be crude and visceral to reflect this harsh environment, it remains nonjudgmental and focused on the player's survival choices (e.g., harvesting a trapped creature vs. freeing it).

The vast majority of the game’s "crudity" is delivered through text only. There is no rendered gore, dismemberment, or realistic depictions of physical trauma in the gameplay.
