What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that Reflex This! is best developed alongside its players. By launching in Early Access, we can gather real-world feedback to balance our core mechanics and prioritize the features you care about most. We want to build a community where your suggestions directly influence the final version of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last about 6–12 months, depending on feedback and polish. We’ll leave Early Access once core modes, balance, and stability meet our release bar.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access focuses on core gameplay, feedback, and stability while we finish the full experience.
The full version is planned to include more modes / deeper progression / expanded challenge system, full audio/visual polish and UI pass, complete Steam feature set: achievements, cloud, leaderboards—fully tuned and documented, and performance and bug-fix pass across supported hardware.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Reflex This is in active development (v0.8.x) and is fully playable end-to-end: the core reflex gameplay, multiple game modes (e.g. reflex / sequence / survival / nightmare / odd-one-out—keep only what you ship), difficulty presets, session statistics, challenges, and local progression are implemented.
The Steam (PC) build includes Steam achievements and stats, global leaderboards (best score), and Steam Cloud save for the packaged game’s save data.
Balance, UI polish, and performance are still being tuned based on feedback; you may encounter minor bugs or UI rough edges that we patch regularly.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community primarily through Steam Discussions and Discord, where players can report bugs, suggest balance and UX improvements, and share runs.
We’ll use that feedback to prioritize fixes, difficulty tuning, and quality-of-life updates, and we’ll summarize changes in regular patch notes on the store page.
For broader direction, we may run short surveys or pinned feedback threads on specific topics (e.g. new modes or accessibility).
We can’t promise every suggestion will ship, but we will read reports, acknowledge recurring issues, and explain trade-offs when we make big changes”

About This Game

Reflex This! is a tight, arcade-style reaction game built around one simple question: how fast can you think and click?

Jump into quick rounds where the rules shift by mode:

  • Reflex: Hit the highlighted buttons before they disappear—speed and accuracy are everything.

  • Odd One Out: Multiple buttons light up, but only one is correct. Find it instantly and strike.

  • Sequence: Watch the pattern, then repeat it in the exact order.

  • Survival: One mistake ends the run. Stay calm and keep the streak alive.

  • Nightmare: A brutal mode for the elite—faster timing, harsher pressure, and no mercy.

As you improve, the game pushes back: highlights get tighter, boards get busier, and your combo becomes the difference between a good run and a legendary one. Expect satisfying visual feedback, clean controls, and “one more try” pacing that’s perfect for short sessions—or long high-score grinds.
