What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets us gather player input much earlier so that we can fix, and then launch, a more polished game.
The main hook of the game, the engine stats feeding into weapon capabilities, has never been done before. Player feedback will be huge to make sure we get it right, and that no one build overpowers the rest.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Development times are always hard to pin down. But I would estimate 1 to 2 years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will expand on and flesh out what is seen here. Now that we have the basic gameplay loop implemented, we get to add the fun stuff.

You can look forward to more cars, weapons and abilities, upgrade cards, more ways to modify your engine, more enemies, music, maps and the like.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build is Pre-Alpha, and you can complete a short, 5 minute session.
We have the basic game loop down that incudes, driving, fighting, upgrading your weapons and engine, having the engines stats feed into your weapons, shift gears, and defeating a boss that ends the run.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Because of this is the first game using the 'engine stats feeding into weapon capabilities' mechanic, we are trailblazing a bit here. The community will be incredibly important in making sure we get it right. Just because we are the first to do it, doesn't mean we will do it right. I want to make sure we do the best we can. Feedback and input is heavily requested.”

About This Game

This is an 80s inspired car based action roguelike where your cars engine is directly influencing your weapons. Driving skill meets engine building this this unique fusion of genres and mechanics.

Drift across a vaporwave beach and speed across a synthwave simulation as you fight off waves of enemies, gather upgrades, and build your car into a weapon. Your weapons are tied to your engine, so the more ridiculous of an engine you build, the more ridiculous your fighting and driving style will be.

Horsepower increases damage

Torque improves bullet penetration and explosion sizes

RPM affects rate of fire

Vehicle speed affects projectile speed

Your current gear gives you a multishot bonus.

You are not just building a list of upgrades, but an engine fights differently.

The game is built around fast paced driving, roguelike upgrade choices, and over the top engine combinations. You could create a high revving monster that sprays bullets, a muscle car build that rams through enemies, or a strange experimental engine that changes the entire feel of your run.

Pick one of three different camera angles. With the press of a button, you can cycle between birds eye view, third person, and first person. A first for this genre.
