What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Scrapbot Outpost is already playable and feature-rich, but we want Early Access so we can improve it with real player feedback while keeping the game’s core identity
intact. The current build already includes a substantial handcrafted map roster, multiple difficulty levels, Endless mode, achievements, save support, and a growing
product shell. Early Access will help us tune balance, improve readability and onboarding, refine the interface and presentation, and decide which final polish and
quality-of-life improvements matter most before full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Scrapbot Outpost to remain in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months. That gives us time to gather feedback, improve balance and usability, polish the
overall experience, and bring the game to a stronger full-release state without rushing major decision.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Scrapbot Outpost to build on the current Early Access foundation with more polish, tuning, and overall completeness. Early Access already
includes the core game, and our goal is to use player feedback to improve balance, readability, onboarding, presentation, accessibility, stability, performance, and other
quality-of-life areas, while continuing to refine the game’s scope where it makes the final release stronger.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Scrapbot Outpost already includes the core tower-defense experience, with handcrafted maps, multiple difficulties, Normal and Endless
modes, progression and records systems, save support, and a substantial amount of player-facing UI and support features. It is fully playable, but still in active
development as we continue improving balance, polish, readability, onboarding, accessibility, stability, and overall quality.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be a major part of Early Access. We want players to help us identify critical missing features, important visual fixes, balance problems,
readability issues, and gameplay mechanics that need refinement. We plan to use Steam discussions, reviews, and direct player feedback to spot recurring issues,
prioritize the most important improvements, and guide the game toward a stronger full release.”

About This Game

Scrapbot Outpost is a single-player pixel-art tower defense about turning a battered scrapyard outpost into a machine-stopping defense network.

Hostile bots are coming for your power core, but winning is not just about dropping damage wherever it fits. Build pads are limited, lanes develop different pressures, and tower placement matters because neighboring towers can strengthen each other through adjacency and power-link bonuses. A strong layout is not just bigger. It is smarter.

Pick from six tower types, spend scrap on new placements and upgrades, and reshape your defense as each map escalates. The current build supports 23 official maps across Easy, Medium, Hard, and Overclocked difficulty bands, including single-lane, dual-lane, and triple-entry layouts. Normal runs reward clean execution with Bronze / Silver / Gold goals tied to survival, core protection, and map-specific power-link targets.

When you clear a map, you can keep pushing. Scrapbot Outpost also includes an Endless mode that lets winning runs continue into extended survival play, with checkpoint waves and local best-run tracking to support replay-driven mastery.

The game already includes player-friendly support features around the core defense loop: local records, in-game achievements, mid-match save/load, a minimap for larger maps, a wave forecast, a built-in help/reference library, and localized interface support. The tone is scrapyard sci-fi all the way through: rusted metal, bright energy lines, improvised towers, and compact robots clashing around a glowing core.

  • Build around adjacency and power links instead of relying on single-tower spam.

  • Defend 23 official maps with handcrafted lane setups and escalating difficulty tiers.

  • Chase cleaner clears through Bronze / Silver / Gold goals and Endless follow-up runs.

  • Use local saves, records, achievements, and reference tools to refine each defense.
