Aetheris Core is a fast-paced top-down sci-fi bullet-heaven roguelite about building a ship powerful enough to survive the chaos on screen—then proving that build against bosses that fight back.

Choose a pilot, combine attack abilities, upgrades, and relics into a focused strategy, dodge escalating patterns, and adapt to random events and Unstable Rifts where movement matters as much as damage.

Enter Unstable Rifts

Open focused trials that compress the pressure of a full run into one to three boss-dense fights. Choose a Rift loadout, take on gauntlets and special encounters, and earn rewards for mastering challenges that bend the normal rules.

Build The Run Around Your Choices

Start with a pilot-specific ship and turn every level-up and relic pickup into a build decision. Stack attack speed, beams, area control, shields, sustain, void effects, and other synergies until a fragile starting weapon becomes a screen-clearing strategy.

Bosses With Real Mechanics

Face agile duelists, summoners, multi-part constructs, arena-control fights, and late-game set pieces. Read the telegraphs, adapt to phase changes, and learn each encounter instead of grinding through a raw stat wall. Your build can make you powerful, but it still has to survive the pattern.

Hard Mode Changes The Fight

Hard Mode remixes encounters instead of simply increasing health and damage. Expect altered behavior, tighter punish windows, new hazards, faster pressure, retaliating objectives, and variant attack patterns that demand a different solution.

Random Events Change The Battlefield

World events interrupt the usual flow with new hazards and opportunities. Adapt your movement, targets, and priorities as the battlefield changes around the build you planned.

Pilots, Ships, And Starting Styles

Each pilot brings a distinct ship identity, base stats, starting tools, and progression path. Lean into speed, shields, sustain, precision beams, void effects, heavy survival, or specialized multi-ability openings, then adapt the run around what you find.

Grow Stronger Between Runs

Return with Aether Seeds to unlock permanent upgrades, new pilots, more options, and cosmetic pilot and ship skins. Push deeper, master harder variants, and uncover multiple endings as the Core opens up.

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during Aetheris Core’s development to assist with portions of some visual assets, code and shader prototyping, and localization. AI-assisted visual and technical work included in the game was reviewed, edited, tested, and integrated by Kavik Studios.
Machine translation was used to support several languages for which native-language translation was not available in-house. Localized content is checked for terminology consistency, formatting, and in-game functionality, with corrections made as issues are identified.
The game’s design, combat, balance, progression, implementation, and final creative decisions are Kavik Studios’ own work. Aetheris Core does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
