About This Game

Ninja Noboken Episode 2 is a fast, unforgiving 2.5D ninja action game — handcrafted, top to bottom, by one developer.

It begins in the city. It does not end there.

Dash, slash, climb and react. Survival depends on precision — every mistake matters.

Fight like a ninja. Get rewarded like one.

Chain your strikes. Launch enemies into the air and keep them there, juggling them apart before they ever touch the ground. Dash through danger and come out swinging.

Every combo runs on stamina. Run dry and you keep fighting — the game never takes the sword out of your hands — but the chain breaks, and a broken chain does a fraction of the damage.

Seven ninja arts

  • Shuriken — the throw you'll never stop using

  • Great Shuriken — heavy, and it comes back

  • Triple Shuriken — three blades fanned upward at once, straight ahead and angled high

  • Rising Flame — a pillar of fire straight up through whatever is above you

  • Whirlwind — spinning blades that orbit you mid-air while you turn

  • Ice Tornado — a freezing vortex that tears through a crowd

  • Fireballs — three orbiting flames. For five seconds nothing can touch you, and anything you touch dies in one hit.

Every art costs mana. Choosing when to spend it is half the fight.

Shadows fight beside you

Summon your Shadows — copies of yourself that mirror every strike you throw. Keep them alive and a single combo lands for close to triple damage.

Expertise: the game pays you for skill

Eight levels of Expertise. You climb them by fighting well, not by grinding.

Each level raises your mana, your stamina, your damage and your critical chance — which means longer chains, more arts, harder hits, and the room to fight the way you actually want to.

Drop to Expertise 1 and nothing is taken from you. You still fight. You still throw. You just hit softer and your combos come apart sooner. The game never punishes you — it simply pays better when you're good.

Play like a ninja and you become one.

A journey across seven worlds

From the streets where it starts, up a killing mountain, through a sealed gate, down into an underground maze, and into the volcanic fortress at the end of everything.

Seven chapters. Seven handcrafted environments. No filler, no padding, no wasted screens.

And the deeper you go, the less the ground stays put. Later worlds rearrange themselves between runs — handcrafted pieces, shuffled. The route you memorized won't always be the route you get.

Seven bosses

Every boss is built as its own puzzle — its own tells, its own timing, its own way of punishing you for guessing. Learn the pattern or die to it.

And the last one waiting at the end of the road is not going to go down the way the others did.

The Bonus Stage

Between chapters, the game stops being a platformer for a moment.

A pure arcade minigame — a direct nod to the Shinobi bonus rounds — that you'll play six times across the run. What you earn is permanent:

• Increased stamina

• Higher attack damage

• Higher critical damage

• Reduced mana cost

• Extra lives

Clear it clean and Kenjiro carries that power for the rest of the game. Fumble it and you go into the next chapter exactly as weak as you left the last one.

A story told between the fights

Fully scripted cinematics carry the journey from the first ambush to the last gate — allies, betrayals, and a thing at the bottom of the world that should not be awake.

Fully voiced and subtitled in English and Spanish.

Built by one person

Every enemy. Every animation. Every level. Every line.

Ninja Noboken Episode 2 pushes the first episode further in every direction — faster combat, tighter controls, harder encounters. It's built for players who grew up on Ninja Gaiden II on the NES and the Shinobi arcade cabinets, and who have been waiting for something that hits that hard again.

Precise. Demanding. No filler.

17 achievements. Seven chapters. One ninja.
