There’s *Don’t Turn On Your Camera After Midnight*, a tale of late-night paranoia in a solo apartment; *It’ll Get Easier*, a phrase burned into the minds of generations; the soul-crushing pressure of the Gaokao, China’s life-defining college entrance exam; the hollow familiarity of the annual Spring Festival Gala, China’s biggest New Year broadcast.
