【Empty Obituary Reader】 is your first stop. It holds a library of horror stories pulled straight from the everyday reality of life in China. No haunted mansions in the woods, no centuries-old curses — only the mundane moments we all live through, twisted into something terrifying. There’s *Don’t Turn On Your Camera After Midnight*, a tale of late-night paranoia in a solo apartment; *It’ll Get Easier*, a phrase burned into the minds of generations; the soul-crushing pressure of the Gaokao, China’s life-defining college entrance exam; the hollow familiarity of the annual Spring Festival Gala, China’s biggest New Year broadcast. Every scene is one you know. But the most terrifying thing isn’t the stories. It’s the reader itself.
