Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate Early Access to last approximately a year, but the exact timeline will depend on the scope of community-driven features we pursue and how the roadmap evolves with player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Reel & Deal is planned to be a significantly expanded game compared to what's available at Early Access launch. Our current plans include:

- New fishing locations with distinct ecosystems and fish populations
- Additional fish species, including rare and legendary catches
- New card archetypes and effects that open up fresh build strategies
- Additional boss encounters with unique mechanics
- Deeper meta-progression systems that reward long-term play
- Expanded endless mode content and late-game features

Beyond these planned additions, community feedback during Early Access will
directly influence features, mechanics, and directions we haven't committed to yet.
The goal is for the 1.0 release to feel like a considerably larger and more varied
roguelike than what players encounter at the start of Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is fully playable from start to finish. The current build includes:

- A complete roguelike campaign with 5 tiers of progression and an endless mode
- 200+ unique fish species across 25+ fishing locations worldwide
- 16 fishing methods and a variety of bait cards to build your deck around
- Weather system, chance events, and boss encounters that shake up each run
- A full shop system with card packs, gear, and consumables
- Fish log and encyclopedia to track your discoveries
- Multiple background music tracks and sound effects
- Gamepad support

The game is stable and fully completable. Early Access development will focus on expanding content (new fish, locations, events, and mechanics), refining balance based on community feedback, and adding quality-of-life features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the prices as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively monitor and respond to community feedback through Steam discussions. Players' bug reports, balance suggestions, and feature requests directly influence our development priorities. We will regularly share update notes and upcoming content plans to keep the community informed and involved in shaping the game's direction.”
