What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bahamut: Evolution is a survival adventure game with deep systems, integrating over ten interconnected core mechanics such as taming, crafting, combat, mood, disease, and electricity. Before the full launch, we want to validate the balance among these systems through real player experiences and continuously refine the content based on community feedback. Early Access allows us to polish the game together with our most passionate players, rather than developing it in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for the Early Access phase to last around 12 to 18 months. The actual duration may be adjusted based on development progress and community feedback, but we will regularly publish our development roadmap to maintain transparent communication.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes a complete core gameplay loop: random map generation, taming system, crafting tree, combat, base building, and more. We plan to continuously expand in the following directions in future updates:

More Bahamut species with new attributes and creature functions;

Richer crafting content, including new minerals, recipes, and buildings;

Deeper story and world narrative, helping players gradually uncover the truth of the world of Bahamut;

New biomes and map elements, bringing more varied random experiences;

More refined creature management and Rogue upgrade systems.

Please note that the above represents our current planned direction, and specific content may be adjusted according to actual development circumstances.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version already offers a full experience of the core survival loop: you can explore randomly generated maps, gather resources, craft, build bases, tame Bahamuts, and engage in combat. Major systems like taming, mood, disease, electricity, and crops have all been implemented. Some content is still being optimized, and the game may contain bugs or balance issues; we will continue to release updates and fixes. We recommend that players who are comfortable with a "work-in-progress" state try it out first.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of the game during Early Access as content continues to expand and systems are refined. After the official launch, the price is expected to be higher than during Early Access. We are grateful for the support and trust of our early players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is a crucial basis for our development decisions. We plan to stay closely connected with players through the following means:

Regularly posting development logs and update notes on the Steam Community;

Collecting bug reports, feature suggestions, and balance feedback on our Discord community;

Holding community polls on important feature directions, allowing players to participate in priority decisions;

Actively responding to player feedback on various systems (especially mood, taming, combat balance, etc.) and incorporating it into future version iterations.”

Bahamut: Evolution

Bahamut: Evolution is a survival adventure game driven by collecting Bahamuts.

It integrates complete systems including crafting, combat, hunger, taming, mood, personality, disease, electricity, upgrading, creature functions, creature management, and crops.

Random Map
Each seed generates a unique terrain, offering a fresh experience with every new start.

The map itself, as well as resources like nests, forests, and minerals, are all randomly distributed.

Crafting Tree
Minerals include stone, iron, coal, aluminum, gold, electric stone, diamond, meteorite, and more;

Foods include potato meat stew, honey bread, sushi, etc.

Buildings encompass workbenches, chests, power stations, repair stations, farms, sprinklers, speakers, air purifiers, and more.

In addition, there are hundreds of items such as mushrooms, berries, wood, enchanted books, and medicines, together forming a vast and complete crafting tree system.

Mood and Personality
You need to regularly monitor the state of your Bahamuts, manage them by personality zones, or proactively abandon those whose personalities could lead to serious consequences.

Plan their working hours and environment carefully. Overly harsh conditions will cause their mood to drop rapidly, triggering negative emotions and adverse outcomes.

Building air purifiers and other facilities that improve the environment can effectively slow down mood deterioration.

Disease
Entering dangerous areas without protection, engaging in frequent battles, or any decision that puts Bahamuts in peril may cause them to contract diseases.

Prepare medical facilities and appropriate medicines in advance to help Bahamuts recover from illness.

Light Roguelike
A random attribute and point refresh mechanic is used when leveling up.

Each level-up grants a certain number of points to refresh attributes. Choosing better attributes makes you stronger — but be sure to plan your point allocation carefully.

Combat
Different weapons and creatures possess varied combat methods.

Including but not limited to burn damage, slow, stun, and more, making every battle full of strategy and variables.

Taming
Each Bahamut has its own exclusive diet.

By knocking them out or using other special means to make them consume food, once the intake reaches a certain level, they can be successfully tamed.

Hunger
Bahamuts each have their own diet. When they are hungry, promptly feed them the food they can consume.

Crops
Crops like potatoes, radishes, and watermelons can be planted and serve as ingredients for different foods.

Rational use of auxiliary facilities like sprinklers can effectively speed up crop growth.

Electricity
When the base reaches a certain scale, electricity becomes indispensable.

You need to tame Bahamuts that can generate power and have them work in power stations compatible with their generation mode to maintain the entire electrical system.

Creature Functions
The differences between Bahamuts go far beyond combat stats.

Various types such as construction-type, fire-type, water-type, and electric-type Bahamuts have unique functions, and progress in specific areas often relies on the corresponding type of Bahamut.

Creature Management
Action management: includes modes like aggressive, hunting, passive, follow, standby, etc.
Work management: allows setting work and rest states.
Grouping: organize Bahamuts into squads, enabling quick command of different groups in battle, creating more tactical possibilities.
