About This Game

Step into the void and command the stars. Sköllorn is a minimalist, fast-paced real-time strategy game where macro-management and split-second decisions dictate the fate of the galaxy. Forget about micromanaging individual harvesters or tech trees; in Sköllorn, your currency is momentum, and your weapon is the map itself.

Play solo or gather up to 8 players for intense multiplayer skirmishes with asymmetrical commander gameplay.

A Galaxy Connected

The battlefield is a web of celestial nodes, each generating fleets to fuel your war machine. But you cannot simply attack anywhere. You must work with the physical topology of the galaxy or manipulate it to your whim using special commander abilities to create or cut off supply chains!

Using powerful abilities, you can LINK distant stars to create new frontlines, or CUT vital enemy connections to isolate and starve their forces. Will you build a heavily fortified cluster of Bastions, or snake a fragile, lightning-fast supply line straight to the enemy homeworld? Or just WARP an entire surprise fleet into their backline, causing your foe to panic?

Every map is procedurally generated with distinct topologies—from tight Grid networks and chaotic Scatter fields to sprawling Spiral galaxies. No two wars are ever fought the same way.

Choose Your Commander

You don't just pick a color; you pick a playstyle. Sköllorn features four distinct Commanders, each with unique lore, passives, and game-changing ultimate abilities that dramatically alter how you approach the galaxy:

Captain Miller (The Warden): A defensive powerhouse. Fortify your empire with Bastions and protect vital chokepoints with localized energy SHIELDs to outlast the enemy swarm. Your orders are to hold the line, and damn it, you will make sure it's done.

Captain Emerald (The Conqueror): Relentless and aggressive. Sacrifice defense for blistering fleet speed, and wipe out entire clusters with devastating NOVA detonations. Don't stop expanding, take it all!

Quartermaster Alice (The Architect): A master of logistics. Rapidly scale your production with linked Forges, and build an overwhelming reserve of fleets using enhanced FORGE stars. Hunker down and build up until you have the numbers advantage, then overwhelm your foe!

Colonel Nyirs (The Voidwalker): Unbound by standard space lanes. Exploit Warp nodes and use the WARP ability to instantly teleport massive armies across the map, striking where the enemy is weakest and disrupting vital logistical lines. Bring your enemies to their knees through well-placed and well-timed strikes in unexpected entries!

Persistent Progression

Win or lose, every battle earns you XP. Level up your chosen Commander to unlock permanent, account-wide skills that augment your playstyle. Progress through a 10-level skill tree for each Commander to unlock passive buffs, reduce ability cooldowns, and unlock special boons and effects to your commander's unique ability. Customizing your loadout before a match is just as important as the battle itself!

Game Modifiers

Every round can be drastically changed by toggling a variety of available game modifers. Stars can be upgradable, increasing production and fleet throughput with the Upgradable Stars modifier! Vision can be limted to only your stars and adjacent stars with Fog of War. Starting planets can become critical game objectives with Home World. The routes you take can shift over time with Shifting Hyperlanes. And others that majorly effect how the game is played!

Multiplayer Fun

Gather up some friends or play against randoms, you can play in PvP, PvPvE, or PvE with or against other players! The asymmetric style of gameplay provides unique interactions and opportunities in matches to dominate your foes.
