Why Early Access?

“Chaebol Chaos is a game about satire, and satire gets sharper with community feedback. Early Access lets players across Korea, Europe, the Americas and Asia weigh in on difficulty tuning, cultural nuance, and which real-world corporate villains deserve the next level. We built the core engine, the 25 launch missions, and the combo physics we wanted. Now we want to build the rest WITH the people who'll play it. If you've ever wanted to see a chicken truck launched at a fictionalized chaebol boardroom, and you have opinions about how satisfying that should feel, Early Access is for you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to spend approximately 6 months in Early Access. The exact duration depends on player feedback and how quickly we can land the planned content drops. If the community asks for more districts or deeper systems, we're willing to extend — we'd rather launch 1.0 right than rush it. We'll publish a transparent roadmap on the Steam Community Hub within the first week of Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The 1.0 release will expand on the Early Access foundation with additional districts, more levels, and other great features. The exact scope will be shaped by Early Access feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build contains:

• 25 hand-crafted levels across 4 districts of Seoul (Gangnam, Hongdae, Yeouido, Noryangjin)
• 3 truck classes with distinct stats (Chicken, Ramen, Kimchi)
• Combo shockwave physics with splash damage
• A boss finale against Chairman Hwang at the Hanwon Boardroom
• 30 mission briefings with hand-drawn character portraits and satirical K-drama dialogue
• Full UI localization in 17 languages
• Original hand-drawn art for character portraits and scene backgrounds
• Windows, macOS, and Linux builds

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase when the game leaves Early Access to reflect the expanded content and polish. Players who buy during Early Access get all future 1.0 content as a free update — no DLC paywall, no content locked behind an upgrade purchase. Early Access is our way of rewarding people who take a chance on us early.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to be directly involved in the Steam Community Hub — reading posts daily, responding to feedback, running polls on upcoming content decisions. Major update notes will be posted as Steam news, and we'll publish a monthly dev log summarizing what we shipped, what players asked for, and what's coming next. If you find a bug or a mistranslation (especially in your language), we want to hear about it — those are exactly the things Early Access is designed to catch.”
