What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Sworn is a deep simulation with many interconnected systems. Early Access allows real players to
stress-test those systems, surface edge cases, and shape the direction of features still in development.
The core game is fully playable from day one — Early Access is not a beta, it is a genuine release with a
clear roadmap”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 12-18 months. This is an honest estimate from a solo developer — it may be shorter if development goes well, and we will be transparent if circumstances change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early access will be base game with continued development throughout early access with plans for additional content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game is fully functional — patrol and dispatch, detective division, officer management, station builder, fleet management and a living criminal simulation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through Steam discussions, regular developer updates, and direct feedback on systems as they develop. This game is personal — the community's experience of it matters.”

About This Game

You're not a hero. You're the Captain.

The badge is easy to put on. It's what you carry home that matters.

The Sworn is a US police precinct management simulation built on lived experience — not Hollywood. You take the role of a newly promoted Captain placed in charge of West Side Precinct, Anchorpoint Police Department. The precinct is yours to build. The city is yours to protect. Every officer under your command is your responsibility.

COMMAND YOUR PRECINCT

Design and build West Side Precinct from the ground up. Assign officers to shifts, set patrol zones, build your detective bureau, and manage everything from the front desk to the armoury. Your precinct reflects your priorities — neglect welfare and it will show in the people.

DISPATCH AND RESPOND

A living city generates real incidents in real time. Petrol station robbery. Domestic disturbance. Suspicious vehicle on Harbour Street. You decide who goes, when, and how. Code 1. Code 2. Code 3. Your officers respond, investigate, and return — or don't. Every call carries consequences.

INVESTIGATE AND BUILD CASES

Your detectives work cases the right way. Secure the scene. Collect evidence before it degrades. Interview witnesses. Build case strength. Get it to the DA. The US legal system applies — Miranda rights, Fifth Amendment, Grand Jury. Cut corners and evidence gets thrown out.

MANAGE YOUR PEOPLE

Officers aren't assets. They're people. Each one has a life, a history, a breaking point. Mood affects performance. Skills develop through training and experience. What happens to them in the field stays with them long after the shift ends.

THE CITY BREATHES

Anchorpoint is a living city with distinct districts — each with its own crime profile, civilian population, and capacity to degrade. Neglect a district long enough and it will show. Respond well and you earn trust. The city is always moving, always generating, always watching what you do.

BUILT BY SOMEONE WHO WAS THERE

The Sworn is a solo development project by a retired police Sergeant and ex-Royal Navy veteran. The welfare system isn't researched — it's lived. The procedures aren't invented — they're remembered. Badge 2567 on the logo is real. This is the game that should have existed.

EARLY ACCESS

The Sworn launches in Early Access with full patrol, dispatch, detective, and officer management systems. The city is alive. Your precinct is yours to build.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

MATURE CONTENT DESCRIPTION

This game depicts the realities of police work in an American city. It contains:
Violence — The game depicts violent crime including fighting, assaults, shootings, stabbings, and murder as part of the living city simulation. Officers respond to and witness these incidents. Violence is presented realistically but not graphically — there are no dismemberment, extreme gore, or torture sequences. It is consistent with the depiction of violence in a police procedural drama.

Drug Use — The game includes references to illegal drug use and substance abuse as part of the criminal simulation. Drug-related offences are generated as incidents and form part of case investigations. No drug use is depicted visually.

Sexual Offences — The game includes references to sexual offences as reported crimes, consistent with the types of incidents a real police precinct would handle. This includes inappropriate touching and low-level sexual assault as reportable offences. No sexual content is depicted visually or described in graphic detail.
Trauma and Mental Health — The game deals seriously with the psychological impact of policing on officers, including references to PTSD, stress, and mental health deterioration. This is handled with care and is central to the game's themes.

Strong Language — Incident reports and case files may contain language consistent with real police documentation.
