Fell out of the sky onto a rooftop. No idea why. The building goes down and it doesn't stop. Something's always watching, there's a mouth on the roof, and nothing makes sense. Figure it out alone or bring friends if you want but they're gonna die too. Good luck

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SUBFLOOR is my first game and I want player feedback to shape how it grows. The core game is fully playable but I have a lot of ideas for new content and want the community to help decide what comes next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 6-12 months. SUBFLOOR will leave Early Access when the game feels complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add more floor themes, new entities, additional items and loot, and quality of life improvements based on player feedback. The core gameplay loop is complete. Early Access is about expanding and polishing it.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable with online co-op for up to 4 players, multiple entity types, procedurally generated floors, a full loot and economy system, and multiple light sources to unlock. Expect some bugs and balance changes as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No plans to change the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through Steam discussions, social media, and listening to player feedback. The community's experience will directly shape what gets added and what gets fixed first.”

About This Game

SUBFLOOR is a co-op horror game where you and your friends descend into a procedurally generated building full of things that want you dead.

You fell out of the sky onto a rooftop. There's a mouth up here. It's hungry. The only way forward is down - floor after floor of dark rooms in a building that's never the same twice.

No weapons. No fighting back. Your only defense is folding into a cube and hoping whatever's in the room moves on.

Entities lurk below. Some hunt by sound. Some hunt by sight. One kills you just for looking at it. One only moves when you're not watching. Learn how they work or don't - they're gonna find you either way.

Scavenge junk from every cabinet, drawer, and shelf you can find. Bring it back to the roof. Feed the mouth. Use what you earn to upgrade your light source, you might lose it though if you're not careful

Every run is different. Every floor gets worse. Play solo if you're brave or bring up to 3 friends if you want witnesses.

Nothing down there makes sense. That's the point.

The developers describe the content like this:

Horror game with frightening creatures and dark environments. Players can be killed by entities. Death messages contain suggestive humor.
