◆ The Paradox of Progress — Every Bit of Growth Invites Danger

In this world, becoming stronger means becoming a target. Exploring, mining, building, fighting — every action you take generates noise. The larger your base grows and the greater your firepower becomes, the louder the noise; and the louder the noise, the fiercer the onslaught of the infected.

Will you grow fast and secure your firepower, or hold your breath and delay the threat? In AeonFall, every decision rests on this Paradox of Progress. There is no correct answer. Each choice you make, moment to moment, is your survival strategy.

The waves never stop. New infected surge in with every cycle, and over the course of a single run, the infected you must face number in the tens of thousands. Rendered with Unreal Engine 5, this colossal swarm floods the screen and pushes your defensive line to its absolute limit.

Each type of infected has its own patterns and weaknesses. Read what is coming, decide where to hold the line, and prepare one step ahead. The moment you stop analyzing, your defenses fall.

AeonFall is built on a foundation of meticulous strategy. Amid a wide range of tech trees, variables that shift with every run, and environmental constraints unique to each map, you must find the single best move at every moment. When you need to, stop time and design your next move.

At the same time, you directly control a single character. Take command of a player unit whose abilities change with its class, and throw yourself into the heart of the battlefield. We've added the tangible thrill of action to the depth of a strategy game. Fight with your mind, finish with your hands.

There are no fixed stages. When a run ends, everything resets, and you begin again from the very start. Yet no two runs are ever the same.

Procedurally generated terrain and resources, choices presented differently every time, and multiple maps each with their own constraints — the grammar of the roguelike turns every run into an entirely new challenge. A single survival is a long and weighty journey, and at its end, you will have become a better strategist.

AeonFall is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 by Dalla Games Inc., a two-person indie studio. Recognized for its potential, the project was selected for an Epic MegaGrant in 2026, and the team is focused on completing an uncompromising hardcore defense experience.
