Leaving Early Access: Q1 2027

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is still evolving, and we expect some bugs, balance issues, and features that need further improvement. Early Access allows us to gather player feedback and use it to improve and refine the game throughout development.
”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Civilization Idle to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 to 6 months. However, this timeframe may change depending on player feedback, balancing, bug fixes, and the development of planned features.
”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will expand and refine the systems already available in Early Access, with additional depth, content, balancing, and polish.

Planned improvements and additions include:

* More utilities and management options for factory production, giving players more ways to optimize and manage industrial production.
* More detailed military systems, including expanded army combat and defense mechanics.
* Improved pricing and balance for buildings and resources, with costs and progression adjusted based on player feedback and gameplay data.
* More interconnected and nested resource requirements, creating deeper production chains and progression.
* Improved 3D world structures and visual design, with more detailed and polished buildings and environments.
* Additional achievements and progression goals.
* Expanded functionality and usefulness of space conquest and the space station, giving the late-game space systems a more meaningful role in the overall progression.
* Continued bug fixing, performance optimization, balance adjustments, and general refinement of existing systems.

The final version will also incorporate feedback gathered during Early Access to improve the overall progression, balance, usability, and player experience. Some details may change during development based on player feedback and testing.
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable and contains the complete core progression from the earliest age through the final available age. Players can currently reach every age and access all currently implemented resources, buildings, and religions.

The following major systems and content are currently implemented and playable:

* Full progression through all currently available ages.
* All currently implemented resources and buildings are available through progression.
* Religion systems are implemented and playable.
* Military conquest and peaceful conquest are both available.
* Multiple Wonders can be constructed.
* Trade routes can be unlocked and used.
* Factory production and industrial systems can be unlocked and used.
* The space station can be unlocked.
* Space conquest is implemented and playable.
* Disasters are implemented and can affect gameplay.
* Incoming attacks and defensive gameplay are implemented.
* A complete progression system with an end game that players can reach.

The game is therefore already fully playable, but it is still in active development. Players may encounter bugs, balance issues, and systems that are less polished or less detailed than they will be in the final version. Additional depth, balancing, visual improvements, achievements, and improvements to existing systems are planned before the game leaves Early Access.
”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to stay actively involved in the Steam Community Discussions and regularly read player feedback. Even during the demo, I have already discussed the game directly with players and implemented changes based on their suggestions and feedback.

Throughout Early Access, I will continue using the Steam Discussions as an important channel for communication, feedback, bug reports, and ideas for improving the game.

    • Processor: Dual‑core CPU (Intel i3 / AMD equivalent)
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Integrated GPU (Intel HD / AMD Vega)
    • DirectX: Version 9.0

    • Additional Notes: NW.js runs on a bundled Chromium engine — performance depends mainly on CPU and RAM. SSD recommended for faster load times but not required.
    Recommended:
    • OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64‑bit)
    • Processor: Quad‑core CPU (Intel i5 / AMD Ryzen 3 or better)
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
