What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I’m launching Gravelight in Early Access because I want you to be part of something special.
This game is built around one core idea: light is both your greatest strength and your biggest weakness.

I’m developing the game solo, and I want real players to help me refine the tense light mechanics, brutal combat, and ever-changing dungeons. Your feedback will directly shape how deep, fair, and addictive the experience becomes.
If you love roguelikes where every decision matters and darkness feels truly alive - join me.
Help turn Gravelight into the game it deserves to be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Gravelight to remain in Early Access for approximately 4–6 months.
This timeframe may shift depending on development progress and player feedback, but our goal is to reach full release within this period with a complete core experience, additional content, and balancing improvements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Gravelight is planned to include expanded content, deeper progression systems, additional enemies and bosses, new dungeon environments, and further refinement of the light-based gameplay mechanics.

We also aim to enhance narrative elements, improve variety in runs, and polish the overall balance and performance of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Gravelight is a fully playable roguelike experience with core combat systems, procedural dungeon generation, and the foundational light mechanics already implemented.

Players can explore multiple runs, fight enemies and bosses, and experience the core gameplay loop.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price after leaving Early Access.

However, the price may be adjusted in the future as new content and features are added during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively involve the community through Steam Discussions and X(Twitter).
Players will be able to report bugs, suggest features, and share feedback during development.
I also monitor feedback regularly and adjust development priorities based on community input.”
