Examine application forms, identification papers, and certificates, and look for inconsistencies.

Are the details correct? Is the certificate genuine? Did this adventurer really complete the quest?

Approve the application, send it back, or accept a bribe and look the other way. Every decision you make affects both your livelihood and your standing in town.

Like Papers, Please, you will compare documents and search for discrepancies—but there is more at stake than simply choosing the correct answer.

Handle your work properly and you can protect your reputation, but honest wages alone may not be enough. Turn to corruption and earning money for your sister’s medicine becomes easier—but suspicion will grow, increasing the risk of inspections and arrest.

Manage your reputation, suspicion, cash on hand, and the cost of your sister’s medicine as you make it through each day.

If things become too dangerous, you can abandon the town and skip town in the night.
