Girlfailure Art Club is a romance visual novel about falling in love with the cringey otaku girls of those days. involving romance with a bunch of otaku girls.

Most people think of school art clubs as nerd hangouts... but what if you could go back in time and enjoy some wonderful school years with those very nerds?

Some make fun of that girl always drawing by herself in a corner, and the popular kids call her "creepy"... but what if you and her could be together?

So, who will you fall in love with?

Get ready to feel lots of second-hand embarrassment from all the 2010s otaku culture references and memes in Girlfailure Art Club, and try to win her heart in one of several possible endings

The Story

You, the protagonist, are a second-year student of Akeba Academy. You decided to join the tennis club to make the most of your school years, only to quickly realize that you couldn't gel with all the popular guys in it. However, the school's rules require all students to be in a club, so you chose another club, the one that sounded like the least hassle: the art club. However...

"WHAAAAAT?! A new club member mid-year?! What's this, a dating sim plot?!"

"Someone, please stop this girl. She's in heat 24/7."

"Auu, auu... is this the start of an exciting new rom-com?"

"Hmph. Who cares?"

As it turns out, you're the only guy in the club. All the other club members are girls... and otaku girls to boot!

Will it be cringe? Who cares! Relive those sweet and somewhat painful years in this embarr—I mean, romantic adventure!

The Characters

Rinne: The Alt-Girl in Red Glasses

"I won't bury my bones in a city where all you can do for fun is karaoke or pachinko, I'll tell you that much."

Rinne Murata

Second-year student. She's a silent girl who's in the same class as you.

She spends all her time drawing alone, aiming to get into a national university for the arts. She's obsessed with underground subcultures and dreams of living alone in Tokyo. She looks down on the other club members who only watch mainstream anime. Also, she has zero friends.

Shoko: The Reaction Queen

"WAIT A GOSH DARN SECOND! D'you think I'm some kind of animal in heat?! How dare you!"

Shoko Hasegawa

Third-year student and the art club's vice-president.

An enthusiastic enjoyer of comedy manga, she can't help but react with perfect comedic timing to anything.

Despite her aggressive behavior, she has low self-esteem and is very self-conscious about her height and physique.

She says that her dream job is having no job, but she has a secret dream that she's never told anyone.

Kana: The Cute-Voiced Quirky One

"Could you be... my very own sweet prince?"

Kana Kitano

A first-year student. She has a high-pitched, cute voice and is a bit cloud-headed. Her dream is becoming a voice actress.

She often says things like "auu auu" and "nano desu," and says sound effects out loud.

The other girls in the club think she's as adorable as an angel and treat her accordingly.

She fell in love at first sight with you, whom she calls "Prince Senpai."

She has no friends in her own class.

Yurie: The Dark-Smiling Fangirl

Yurie Ishihara

Third-year student and the art club's president.

She projects a soft and gentle aura, just to become terrifying as soon as she gets angry. She is best friends with Shoko.

She likes self-inserting in fiction, and she's especially obsessed with the character "Kyoya Tobari" from the hit series "Hitman Re-bored: Family Matters".

She is a top-ranking writer on the "Fortune Tellers United" fanfiction site.

As you could never possibly surpass Kyoya Tobari in her eyes, she is not a romanceable character in the game.

The Protagonist (You)

Default Name: Mamoru Gasai (can be changed)

A second-year student.

Joined the tennis club during his first year at Akeba Academy, but he couldn't handle the extroverted energy there and transferred to the art club at the start of his second year.

Upon joining, he promptly became the art club girls' toy and was immediately saddled with the humiliating nickname of "Prince Senpai." He happens to be self-conscious about his height.

Also, although he'd never admit it, he's secretly into complicated otaku girls.
