What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Goblins & Gunslingers is entering Early Access because the core digital trading card game is playable, but we want community feedback before calling it complete. Early Access will help us improve card balance, tutorials, deck building, multiplayer stability, progression, and the overall feel of matches.

We also plan to use Early Access to grow the game’s presentation. Our goal is to hire artists for final card and world artwork, expand the game’s audio identity with an original soundtrack, and build out planned campaign content with player feedback guiding priorities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Goblins & Gunslingers to remain in Early Access for about 6 to 12 months. This may change depending on community feedback, development needs, art production, campaign work, balance updates, and multiplayer polish.

We will keep players updated through Steam announcements as the roadmap develops.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more complete artwork across the game, a planned original soundtrack, expanded card polish, improved tutorials, refined deck-building and collection features, better multiplayer stability, and full campaign content.

We also plan to continue balancing cards, improving UI readability, adding quality-of-life features, and expanding the overall presentation so the full release feels more polished and complete than the Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core playable trading card game experience. Players can play matches, use faction-based cards, build decks, open booster packs, manage a collection, use profile features, and try early multiplayer systems.

The game is playable, but unfinished. Players should expect placeholder or work-in-progress artwork in some areas, balance changes, possible bugs, UI improvements over time, and campaign content that is still planned rather than complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Goblins & Gunslingers is free to play and is planned to remain free after Early Access.

Optional booster packages may be available, but the base game will remain free. If anything changes around optional purchases, we will communicate clearly with players ahead of time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, player feedback, bug reports, balance suggestions, and update announcements throughout Early Access.

Community feedback will help guide card balance, deck-building improvements, tutorial clarity, multiplayer stability, campaign priorities, and quality-of-life updates. We want players to help shape which features, cards, factions, and campaign content should be prioritized as Goblins & Gunslingers moves toward full release.”

About This Game

Magic. Gunpowder. A frontier worth fighting over

The rail's gone quiet, the town's gone lawless, and the only thing standing between order and ruin is the hand of cards you're holding. Goblins & Gunslingers is a western-fantasy trading card duel where spellslinging and six-shooters share the same dusty table — a fast, tactical showdown built for players who love a deck that fights back.

A battlefield with room to maneuver.

Forget the single lane. Every duel plays out across a seven-lane frontier — a five-slot main street flanked by hidden high-rise positions and destructible cover. Where you plant a creature matters as much as when. Line up a crossfire, bait an attack into a trap, or take the high ground and rain down from cover.

Mana pays for your cards. Gold hires your muscle Two resources, two clocks — spend spells from a growing mana pool while banking gold to bring Deputies and item plays into the fight.

Open combat. Attacks aren't locked into tidy trades. Ricochets, last stands, and must-attack warrants keep the board honest and the reads deep.

The Gnome-and-Golem gambit. Charge up a Gnome, cast the right spell, and watch it flip into a towering Golem mid-battle — the game's signature transformation, and a whole deck archetype of its own.

  • Eight factions. Two hundred and fifty-plus cards.

  • Build from eight outlaw peoples — Humans, Goblins, Desert Devils, Straw Elves, Gnomes, Dwarves, Golems, and wild Beasts— each with its own deputy, its own tricks, and its own way to win. Run a two-faction outfit, chase razor-thin synergies, or go creatureless and let your deputies do the talking. Deckbuilding is deep, the copy limits keep it honest, and there's no power for sale you can't also earn at the table.

    Ways to play

  • Story Tutorial- Wake up in the dirt with no name, no past, and a fistful of cards. A cinematic four-part campaign teaches the game as you claw your way from the wreck of a stagecoach to the sheriff's star.

  • Ranked & Online Multiplayer Take your deck online and climb against real opponents in authoritative, cheat-resistant matches.

  • Frontier Run  A roguelike gauntlet: build on the fly, earn upgrades between fights, and see how far one run can carry you.

  • Skirmish vs. Computer Practice matchups and test brews against the computer, offline and anytime.

Play free, own your deck

Goblins & Gunslingers is free to play. Open packs, grind cards, and build the outfit you want — every card is earnable in-game, and any purchase is a shortcut, never a wall. Your collection and progress ride with your account, on Steam and in the browser alike.
