About This Game

Hashiko is an action-adventure game where exploration, combat and storytelling intertwine in a world slowly abandoned by life.

In a post-apocalyptic and fantastical vision of Japan, a phenomenon called psychoannexion is altering the coastal regions. Places persist, but transform. Gaps appear. Inconsistencies. Fragments of lives sometimes remain accessible: some can be traversed, re-lived, altered.

Residents leave everything behind, inexorably, guided by a call. A rare few still resist it — and become the targets of a merciless hunt.

Explore a world in transformation

You play primarily as Hino, but also as other characters across different eras. To move forward, you must run, jump, grab, climb, swim, reach difficult areas, and use the environment to advance.

But the world is not static. Psychoannexion advances before your eyes: roots grow, buildings warp, passages change, and certain areas evolve as the adventure unfolds.

Use what Hino carries within

Hino hosts a parasite that can sometimes be released to explore the world in a different way: a mobile presence capable of slipping through narrow passages, clinging to walls, and reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.

Fight, progress, adapt

Face multiple enemy types, collaborate with NPCs encountered along the way, capture spirits using a special lantern, and wield a smartphone augmented by a very… particular AI.

As the adventure unfolds, you grow stronger: your stats evolve, your weapons improve, your powers develop. Learn to master every type of weapon — bat, knife, sabre, naginata, pistol, submachine gun... — and use the environment to your advantage.

You will also discover powers tied to totem animals, which can be summoned depending on the situation.

A story of disappearance

In a surrealist and melancholic atmosphere close to The Leftovers, Hashiko blends investigation, tension, physical exploration and intertwining fates. Every movement, every encounter, every mission draws you closer to a world that continues to silently deform, as the paths of characters with troubled pasts slowly converge. Behind the action, the combat and the missions handed to you, a story takes shape — one of abandonment, loneliness and disappearance.

Hashiko is still in development. What you see on this page is not a final version of the game, but a glimpse of what we are building. This game is designed and developed by two people. We move forward step by step, with the desire to create a game that does not merely tell a story, but makes you live a strange, intimate experience that — we hope — is memorable enough to leave a mark.
