What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We're deliberately entering Early Access with G-Vora because game feel is the most important aspect of a high-speed racer — and that's something best refined together with players. We want to incorporate community feedback into ongoing development without losing sight of our creative vision. Driving physics, track design, and vehicle handling all benefit noticeably from being tested by real players with varied playstyles.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're aiming for an Early Access period of around one year. Depending on development progress and feedback, this may be shorter or longer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“At Early Access launch, we're planning for 12 tracks (across 3 Cups), 5 vehicles, as well as Single Race, Splitscreen, Time Trial with Ghost Drivers, and a separate Combat Mode. Cups are planned to be playable in Combat Mode as well. Throughout Early Access, we plan to expand the game step by step — aiming for up to 24 tracks across 6 Cups, up to 15 vehicles, and additional content around the game world. Steam Achievements are also planned for integration. In parallel, we'll be continuously working on graphics, performance, and polish. The exact scope of additions during Early Access will depend on community input and our development progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We're currently working on finalizing a free demo that will serve as a taste of the Early Access. The demo will feature Single Race and 2-player splitscreen across 3 tracks, plus the Combat Mode. After that, we'll continue work on additional tracks, vehicles, and modes for the Early Access release. As of today, the Early Access build is in active development — the core technology (driving physics, splitscreen, Combat Mode) is already functional and will be playable in the demo.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to moderately increase the price when the game transitions to the full version, as it will offer significantly more content at that point. Players who join during Early Access therefore benefit from the lower entry price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to stay in close contact with the community. Planned activities include: actively managing the Steam Community forums, regular developer updates on new features and content, as well as gathering and reviewing feedback on game feel, track design, and balance. Player feedback will flow into our development decisions, while we keep our creative vision in focus.”

About This Game

G-Vora

High-speed anti-grav racing that feels direct — no sluggish physics, no compromises on pace. Tear through imaginative tracks across alien worlds, knock rivals off the course with melee attacks, and race side-by-side with a friend in local splitscreen.

G-Vora is a love letter to the classic high-speed racers — fast, spectacular, and tuned for feel above all else. The driving physics are hand-coded rather than handed off to a generic engine, so every boost, every corner, and every hit lands exactly when you expect it. Best played with a controller.

Key Features

  • Direct, uncompromising handling — hand-built driving physics instead of mushy off-the-shelf simulation. Every input lands instantly.

  • On-track melee combat — roll attacks and side strikes to send rivals flying off the course.

  • Charge your energy on the move — slide along chargeable strips at the track's edge instead of collecting boost from menus. Keeps the pace up and rewards smart racing lines.

  • Separate Battle Mode — for when you want to shoot: lasers and a chargeable special weapon, cleanly separated from the main racing experience.

  • Local 2-player splitscreen — side by side, head to head. Couch racing the way it should be.

  • Distinct characters and vehicles — each pilot brings their own personality and machine to the grid.

  • Imaginative tracks across varied worlds — no grey city circuits. Settings that let the imagination run wild.

  • Game modes — Single Race, Time Trial, Cups, and more.

  • Unlockable in-game wiki (planned) — win Cups to unlock lore on the characters, vehicles, and the world they race in.

Demo

Before Early Access, a free demo will be available featuring 3 tracks in Single Race mode — including local 2-player splitscreen. Grab a friend, grab a controller, and give it a spin.

Roadmap

  • Demo: 3 tracks, Single Race, splitscreen

  • Early Access: 12 tracks, additional modes, first Cups, beginnings of the world-building content

  • Full Release: 24 tracks, all modes (Cups, Single Race, Time Trial), full character and world wiki

We're going into Early Access first because we want to keep sharpening the game feel together with the community. Player feedback flows directly into development.

Playable with keyboard or gamepad — gamepad recommended. Splitscreen supports mixed input (e.g. one player on gamepad, the other on keyboard).

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The following content is created with generative AI: character portraits, background music, and cover/promo material (hand-made in-game screenshots edited/overpainted with AI-assisted tools). All other content (code, game mechanics, driving physics, 3D assets, sound effects, text, track design, gameplay) is hand-made without AI generation.
