About This Game

The Great Hebrew Rescue sets out to bring a timeless biblical story to life through fast-paced action, player progression, riddles and knowledge tests, and stage exploration.

Step back nearly 4,000 years and enter the height of the bronze age as Abram, before he became Abraham, in a pivotal moment recorded in Genesis 14. When Abram’s nephew Lot is captured by a coalition of powerful kings, Abram gathers his trained warriors and embarks on a dangerous rescue mission across ancient Canaan. What follows is a journey of faith, courage, and determination.

A Scripture-Inspired Action Platformer

The Great Hebrew Rescue is a 2D pixel-art action platformer inspired by classic retro games like Castlevania, Mario, and Ninja Gaiden, with modern progression elements similar to games like Elden Ring, World of Warcraft, and Skyrim. Battle your way through multiple handcrafted stages set across ancient Canaan, including wilderness regions, enemy strongholds, and fortified cities.
