About This Game

The treasury is empty, the crown is pawned and five creditors are waiting at the card table. Noblefold: Kingdoms of Chance is a cozy, satirical roguelike in which you play blackjack for your kingdom, and every village, mine and abbey can end up in the pot.


Real blackjack against a creditor who wants you to fail. Hit, stand, double, and then watch the shoe turn over the card you did not take: "If you'd drawn: 21." Five eras, three hands each, and a collection day at the end of every year.



Collect up to four of 16 side bets, from Perfect Pair and Crown Triad to Mirror of the Crown and The Crowded Fall, and level them up. When several land on the same hand they chain: bet × percent = gold, counted out coin by coin.



Build your deck from 100 Crown cards. Peek at the shoe, swap the next two cards, slip one from your sleeve. Every cheat raises suspicion, and every creditor punishes a caught cheat in their own way. The Devil simply takes your best deed.



Short of coin? Pledge a deed or next season's harvest. Win, and the land stays yours. Lose, and the creditor's banner rises over your village on the map. You can buy it back later, if you can afford it.



24 settlements in six regions. Upgrade them, grant charters and link neighbours into development combos: Supply Chain, Bread & Labour, Holy Market, Shadow of the Keep. Raise a whole region to level 3 for a Golden Region, and build the Royal Mint, the Great Bridge and the Cathedral stage by stage.



96 illustrated reports whose choices come back later: strikes, floods, fires, festivals, a pretender to the throne. Their effects play out on the 3D map, and the seasons turn with every hand, from spring shoots to autumn gold to snow on collection day.



The Royal Banker, the Moneylender, the Archbishop, the High Creditor, and a gentleman in red. After the Banker, every creditor brings a house rule drawn from a pool of 25, such as Holy Twenty, Borrowed Life or the Two-Faced Devil, and you know it before you sit down.



41 advisors compete for three seats at court: a Jester who laughs off a caught cheat, a Spymaster whose peeks raise no suspicion, a Moneylender's Nephew who quietly clears extra debt. Every court changes how a reign plays.



Six reign decks and eight debt levels. A daily reign with the same seed for every monarch. 25 Steam achievements and 13 interface languages.
