About This Game

CODEX : RECALL is a single-player PvE strategy card game that combines 2.5D exploration, deckbuilding, tactical grid movement, and fragmented storytelling.

You play as a stray soul who has lost memory and enters “The World of Codex,” a mysterious realm made up of multiple different worlds. Here, you will travel alongside Lipa, a mysterious Jumper who can move between different spaces, as you explore and gradually piece together the truth behind The World of Codex, Lipa, and your own identity.

In each world, you will search for key characters, help them solve the problems they are facing, and discover and restore hidden “breaches” along the way. After entering a Mind Space through a breach, the game shifts into a card-based tactical PvE battle built around cards and a grid-based board.

Each unit card can be deployed onto the board. Different units have their own movement patterns, skills, and tactical roles. You will need to plan positioning, action order, skill usage, and deck resources based on enemy formations, board layout, and stage objectives.

Combat in CODEX : RECALL is not centered on simply stacking stats. Instead, it offers a more puzzle-like tactical experience built around spatial control. Tiles on the board are not only spaces for units to move across, but also resources to contest and restore. By deploying units, moving characters, and using skill effects, you can change tile ownership, expand your controlled area, and clear the “manifestations” within each Mind Space to complete the restoration objective.
