About This Game

Weaponized is a fast, violent vector shooter where you play an asteroid miner who stole a spaceship to go mine hell.

Take on mining contracts, use your machine gun to carve ore out of asteroids, and scavenge for abandoned tech. Use your earnings to upgrade your ship and get away from your former employer before Mine-Corp recovers its assets.

ACTION

Combat inspired by indie greats like Luftrausers and APE OUT. Weaponized's combat is frantic, fluid and fun. Wrestle with momentum to line up your shot. Your machine gun deals with swarms of enemies. The rail gun is your sniper rifle that can slice through asteroids and enemies. Drop into bullet time to slow down the game to line up a crucial shot. Your ore containment field isn't just for mining, grab enemies and hurl them into asteroids or other ships.

MINING

You play as an asteroid miner, and in every shift you have to hit your ore quota. Use your instruments to hunt through the field. Use your guns to carve through the rocks to get it out. And carry it back home while defending yourself from the denizens of outer-space. Every asteroid in Weaponized is completely destroyable; chip, split, and explode them into pieces.

CONTRACTS

Before every shift you'll get a chance to choose your next job. Mining outer space is dangerous work, and the riskiest contracts are the ones that pay the best. But not every job has to be a white-knuckle struggle. If you're feeling cozy, pick a low risk job, put your feet up on the console and mine for ore.

UPGRADES

The ship you stole from Mine-Corp isn't going to get you far. Save your earnings after every shift to upgrade your ship. New weapons to do more damage, a higher carrying capacity to carry more ore, improved sonar to detect ore, or a boost to take you into hyperspeed. Before every run, customize your ship to maximize profit.

REAL VECTOR MATH

Vector graphics are a hugely important part of gaming history and they've become largely forgotten. I think they're worth remembering, so I built a custom game engine that can draw graphics with real vector math, just like they did in the 70s and 80s. It's an engine that can talk to modern displays as well as vintage vector hardware, something that isn't possible in regular game engines.

SCOPE @ HOME

You can run Weaponized on an oscilloscope at home. The game has an optional mode where you can connect through your existing computer sound hardware.
