About This Game

Ember Express is a sci-fi themed light yuri narrative adventure game. In a new century on the brink of humanity's expansion into the cosmos, you step into the role of a junior researcher joining the megacorporation COSMIC. As you uncover the truth behind the "Ember" incident, you will find yourself rekindling a buried memory alongside a superior who seems like a stranger at first.

The intrusion event known as "Ember" caused widespread failures in networked devices, along with massive property damage and casualties. Our company has also suffered significant losses.

The intruder left behind no traceable evidence. Yet, inside a long-sealed secret facility, a giant regular icosahedron has appeared out of nowhere—now the only lead in the investigation.

...

Attention all employees: During the investigation, stay away from restricted laboratories.

...

Office romances are strictly prohibited.

  • Rich Story — Undercurrents Beneath the Corporate Surface

You live and work inside a secluded, off-limits facility. As you analyze the equipment and piece together the mystery behind the "UD3718" hallucination phenomenon, you gradually uncover a secret the company's top brass are desperate to hide. In the end, you unravel a conspiracy that spans across time.

  • Varied Gameplay — Inspired by Quantum Entanglement

In the early stages of the game, puzzles are built around the concept of "quantum entanglement". You'll control two particles with opposite spins, using mechanics such as altering "magnetic fields" and leveraging "electric fields" to guide each particle to its designated position.

Later in the game, as long-sealed experimental facilities are brought back to light, more diverse gameplay elements will gradually unlock—including deeper simulation management and bullet hell battles.

  • Audiovisual Experience — A Distinctive Blend of Near-Future and Light Sci-Fi

With its exquisite 2D art style, the game masterfully combines pristine laboratory environments with a group of girls, each hiding their own secrets. The soundtrack features over twenty original synth instrumental pieces, plus an original song with vocals.

  • MiallaiLumen — A Junior Researcher Who Lost Everything

"Before my mother passed away, she told me: when you see a spending train, come back to me as quickly as you can..."

A freshly graduated girl with little life experience, and a new recruit at COSMIC.

She says she's socially inept—often struggling to get the words out—but beneath that hesitance lies an unexpected well of courage.

Before the "Ember" incident, she joined COSMIC to follow in her father's footsteps.

She frequently dreams of a young woman who would be the same age as her team leader now...

  • Octo — The Warm and Generous Team Leader

"Hey, maybe you'll be team leader one day...just not until I'm dead on the job."

The first person under 30 at COSMIC to become a team leader. Almost none of the projects she's led have ever failed.

She likes to joke around with her team, but when things get serious, she's always the first to step up.

She never talks about her past. There's always an unlabeled bottle of pills on her desk...

  • Fleshy — The Quiet and Mysterious Senior

"Then again, in a place like COSMIC, speaking your mind isn't exactly a good thing."

She doesn't like talking to coworkers and absolutely hates rules and regulations.

Rumor has it she was placed here as a victim of another project...
