Why Early Access?

“Investigation is a deeply personal, story-driven psychological horror experience, and player feedback is at the heart of how I want to shape it. Early Access allows me to put the game in real players' hands while I continue building — letting me refine the atmosphere, pacing, and narrative based on genuine reactions rather than assumptions.
I am fully committed to seeing this project through to completion. Early Access funding will allow me to dedicate more time and resources to development, expanding the world of Polly'sVille, deepening the story, and polishing every detail of the bodycam horror experience I've been building. I believe the best version of Investigation is one built alongside its community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game may be in early access for about 10 months, given time to develop and expand in this games features and story is my main priority, and it will be updated with upmost quality.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add more story, more endings, and more content in general. With a planned deluxe edition upgrade for artbooks, soundtracks, and more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build contains a full playable chapter, giving players a complete taste of what Investigation is: the bodycam-style immersion, the dual-character operator mechanic, the atmosphere of Ghillies Subway, and Alex Carter's story.
Players can expect: a fully playable opening chapter with beginning-to-end narrative, the core operator panel mechanics (remote door control and decision-making), environmental investigation including notes and audio recordings, and the full visual and audio identity of the game; VHS grain, 1990s camcorder aesthetic, and original sound design.
Additional chapters, story content, and gameplay systems are still in active development. Known rough edges may exist in this build and will be addressed throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I have no plans of raising the games price after early access. However, future story DLC's and the deluxe edition upgrade will require extra payment.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community can join our Discord server to report bugs, converse with me, and point out things they may want in the full release to make the experience as community oriented as possible”

You receive a call from the Polly’s Ville Police Department. An electrical engineer, John Plier, just 18 years old, has been found dead in the decaying station of Ghillies Subway. What begins as a simple investigation soon spirals into something much darker...


Gameplay:
You play as two characters, Alex Carter, a detective burdened by grief after the loss of his daughter, and y̶̼͐̉̏̾̄̈́͆̆o̵̩͆̽̽̄͗̊̄́͂̓͝͝u̶̢̢̻͕̦͕̳̼̻͇͔͕̽͛̅͛̔̉͗̈́͊͠ŗ̶̧͚̺̭̖̫̥̲̤̒̎̃̅̀̅̔ś̷̢͍̞͉̭̦̺̖e̵̢̨̙͖̳͉̝͙̳̅̾͛̀͝l̷̳̏͆̓̃̿͊̉̄f̷̛͓̭̥̱̰̼͂͛̈́́́̎̾̉̚͝, an officer monitoring Alex's bodycam footage, and helping him remotely open doors and activate systems.
