About This Game

Everyone is kept steady by a signal.

It has been playing for centuries, and most people never notice it.

But sometimes it stops working on someone. Their behaviour changes, and eventually that change has consequences.

By the time they are brought to you, the person across the table is already convicted.

It has one question left: Why? Was it a fault or was it intent?

COMPARE THE ACCOUNTS

The accused describes the events that led to their conviction. The people who knew them remember those same events differently.

Question each person and add their testimony to your evidence board. Compare their accounts, match them with supporting facts, and identify the contradictions between them.

Use what you uncover to reconstruct what happened and why.

USE THE RECORD PLAYER

A record plays during every interrogation. The music affects how the accused responds.

Four records create four different moods. Depending on what is playing, the accused may answer a question or remain silent.

REACH A CONCLUSION

Each event has several possible accounts. Compare the testimony with the facts and determine which version stands up.

Once you have reviewed every event, submit your conclusion and decide what happens to the person in front of you.

The file is waiting for your signature.

You’re good at this. It gets easier.
