About This Software

Gloop: Liquid Physics is a real-time particle and liquid physics sandbox and VJ instrument. Thousands of interacting particles stir a canvas of flowing, pooling pigment. Paint into it with your mouse, drive it with music, your webcam or your own images and video, save scenes, and perform them live.

Thousands of particles

Particles react according to Newtonian physics and gravity or according to fantasy rules which you can hand tune or evolve through randomisation and selection.

Liquid physics

A paint and fluid simulation sits over the particle system. Pigment flows, pools and mixes as the particles and your brush drag it around.

Audio-reactive

Map simulation parameters to live analysis of music or a microphone, and play your own tracks with the built-in music playback.

Camera and media clone modes

Particles and backgrounds can render your live webcam feed or your own imported images and video, so the simulation paints with whatever you point at it.

VJ performance kit

A hotkey scene bank, smoothly scrubbed transitions between scenes, and in-app video recording for capturing your sets.

Scenes and media library

Save and reload scenes, and keep imported images and videos organised in a managed media library.
