Why Early Access?

“GLOOMTIDE is a passion project developed by a solo developer. Early Access allows me to gather player feedback on game balance, weapon variety, and progression pacing while I continue adding content. The core survival mode is fully playable and polished, and I want the community to help shape the direction of future updates.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 3 to 6 months. The goal is to release the full version by late 2026, which will include the Confrontation mode (1v1 strategy PvP), additional weapons, enemies, and maps.

”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release will add:

Confrontation mode — A 1v1 strategy mode with base building, resource gathering, and army management against an AI opponent
Additional weapons and evolutions beyond the current 20+
New enemy types and boss encounters
Additional characters beyond the current 4 (Veyra, Gorvath, Nyxara, Eryndis)
Expanded meta-progression and talent system
Community-driven balance improvements”

“The survival mode is fully playable with:

4 unique characters, each with distinct abilities and playstyles
20+ weapons with evolution paths
Procedurally generated maps with multiple biomes
Meta-progression system with soul currency and upgrades
Full gamepad and keyboard/mouse support
Optimized performance (60+ FPS sustained)
Localized in French and English”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase slightly at full release to reflect the additional content. Early Access players will receive all future updates at no additional cost.”

“Through Steam Community discussions and reviews. Player feedback on balance, difficulty, weapon design, and quality of life will directly influence development priorities. Bug reports and performance feedback are especially valuable during Early Access.”

A dark roguelike survivor where every run is a fight for survival. Battle through hordes of undead, unlock powerful weapons, and push your limits across 12 handcrafted levels.

Veyra, Shadow Blade — Lightning-fast assassin with a lethal dash. Kill after dashing for stacking damage bonuses.

Gorvath, the Bulwark — Unstoppable tank. Stand your ground to gain armor and reduce incoming damage.
