About This Game

On the other side of Jackpot City, local green hero Dino De Rocco (wait... why the hell is he green?!) hears about a $1,000,000,000 raffle over the radio and takes off without thinking twice. The prize is waiting at a casino on the other end. But getting there… that’s the hard part.

Jackpot City is a crumbling coastal hellhole where the tap water turns citizens into mutants, zoo animals vanish daily, and a newly elected mayor is making everything worse with an army of cheaply built robot cops.

Dino's not the only one who heard the broadcast; his so-called friends know about the money too, and they're racing for it just as hard.

Inspired by DIY-punk scenes and late-night nostalgic teen culture cartoons, Barbwire Rodeo pairs high-octane, deliberate combat with a story about late-stage capitalism, betrayal, and side quests with enough trauma to feel like a kick to the gut.

Key Features

  • Pinball-Physics Combat:  Ricochet enemies off bumpers, slot machines, and explosives. Every hit is a setup for the next one.

  • Scored Arenas: Every room grades your combos. Play sloppy and scrape by, or chain everything together for better loot and hidden routes.

  • Weapon Upgrades: Duct-tape black magic charms to a hockey stick or whatever's lying around. Buffs range from raw power to pure luck, some come with a chemical kick that sets things on fire.

  • Items & Gadgets: Grenades and tools for fights that go sideways and getaways that need to happen fast. Buy them, win them mid-fight, or find them hidden across the map.

  • A City Worth Fighting Through: Battle robot cops, gang bangers, mutated sewer creatures, and worse across the crumbling districts of Jackpot City.

  • A Story With Teeth: A billion-dollar prize, a city falling apart, and "friends" who'll sell you out. Late-stage capitalism has never looked this fun to punch.

Barbwire Rodeo's combat runs on an arcade pinball and air hockey twist.

Knock enemies into a ricochet state, then smack them into other foes, bumpers, slot machines, explosives, and whatever else the room's got lying around.

Every arena grades you on how well you build combos and use the environment against everyone in it — higher scores

mean better rewards, rarer items, and sometimes entirely new routes through the map.

You'll need to collect absurd munitions and search for powerful weapon mods to last a day in Jackpot City.

Buffs could range from anything like increased attack power, luck, or could even carry a chemical component to set things on fire.

On the South end of Jackpot City, local hero Dino De Rocco learns about a $1,000,000,000 raffle giveaway over the radio and blasts off without thinking! He'll need to make his way to a casino at the North end of Jackpot City to win!

BUUUUUTTT you'll have to make your way through Jackpot City. A crumbling coastal hell hole where the tap water turns its citizens into mutants, zoo animals go missing daily, and a newly elected mayor is making everyone's lives worse with an army of cheaply made robot cops.

And not just that, Dino's weirdo friends know about the money too! You'll need to race them and take any opportunity to stall their progress, whether it's creating roadblocks, collapsing bridges, or things that we can't mention on this platform to increase your chances of winning the money!
