What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Whispering Maze is a game we want to continue building upon as we move along. We feel it a good opportunity to get players involved, while creating something fun and simple for everyone to play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last no more than 6 months to 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to add a few mechanics to the game and continue to build upon the idea of a never ending, randomized Maze. We want to add more options that will create different mazes and layouts for each playthrough as well as adding a shop to boost your character in several ways.

We are also planning to add additional creatures to face, puzzles of various kinds, and other interactive elements throughout each maze. We currently have no plans for in-game cosmetic upgrades, but that could change in the future.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, Whispering Maze has its primary mechanics.

The player wanders around the maze, avoid the creatures trying to kill you and collect all the coins. Dying results in a loss of all coins collected, whereas, winning results in being able to buy upgrades in the shop.

Some elements of the shop may not be available, but as we continue development, we will be updating the item and upgraded availability.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing will not change after Early Access. The idea is to create a fun, enjoyable game, without a ridiculous price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to collect valuable feedback from each player via our Discord and Steam discussions. We are open to suggestions and are here to listen to our players.”

About This Game

You wake alone.

Cold stone beneath your hands. Endless corridors stretching into darkness. Voices whisper from somewhere beyond the walls — soft at first, almost comforting. Then they begin saying things they should not know.

The Whispering Maze is not an ordinary labyrinth. It remembers.

Formed from fractured memories, forgotten truths, and fear itself, the Maze shifts endlessly around those trapped within it. Hallways change when you look away. Paths vanish without warning. The deeper you descend, the louder the whispers become.

You play as Alaina Voss, a linguist and researcher obsessed with myths surrounding places that should not exist. After following a strange voice through abandoned ruins, she awakens inside a living labyrinth that seems to know her past, her fears… and her name.

But the whispers are not all the same.

Some guide you forward.
Some deceive you.
And some are not human.

Explore an ever-changing maze where survival depends on observation, memory, and the ability to decide which voices can be trusted. Discover hidden symbols, shifting corridors, and fragments of a truth buried deep within the labyrinth itself.

The Whispering Maze is a psychological horror experience built around tension, uncertainty, and the fear of losing your sense of reality. The Maze does not simply trap its victims — it studies them.

And the deeper you go, the more it begins to sound like you.

There may be a way out.

But the Maze has never wanted anyone to leave.
