為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「Early Access gives us the opportunity of showing you immediately that Governance is both as real and as detailed as we claim. The struggle is, of course, balancing that realism with making things as interesting as possible. We want to get a product in your hands as soon as possible, and build additional functionality from there. 」

這款遊戲的搶先體驗時間大約會持續多久？

「We are aiming to have the full game ready for all players by the end of the summer 2026. We want a fairly short and structured Early Access process for the Game Edition.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The final version of the game may include more detailed events and policies, additional electoral systems, additional scenarios, and greater depth with regards to councils and devolved governments of the UK. We are also keen to include different periods of UK political history.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The game lacks the feature development and gameplay polish we think will come naturally from larger community involvement. As we near the end of the first stage of the public, we want to open the floor to the community to help guide and impact the game's development to the 1.0 release.

Currently you can: play as a Member of Parliament; create bills and have other MPs vote on them; mingle and network with other characters in-game (though we are developing this to be more fun); run for election; create a new political party, and experience many different kinds of events throughout the game. All of the screenshots indicate the level of visual progress currently in game.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「We plan to gradually raise the price as we leave Early Access.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「We want to solicit regular feedback from players to see what they think of the experience so far. There will be support for player feedback reporting and we will be closely involved with Steam Discussions based feedback.」

Governance is a groundbreaking new political and social simulator that aims to fuse a real-time approach not seen in political sim with real world data, providing the most realistic simulation of modern politics. Focusing on UK politics, you can play as a Member of Parliament, the leader of a political party or the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Featuring over 1000 dynamic events, 50 unique policies, a dynamic economic system and tightly-knit integration of real-world data, Governance marries realism with fun political wargaming.

Keep your friends close...

The key to Governance is making friends in the hope that they further the policy goals that you have. You have to get on to get far… or build up enough dirt on the way to bully your way into the halls of power! Network with peers, join think tanks, go to lunch with lobbyists, and ultimately gain enough momentum to make the change you want to see in the world.

Rather than the traditional left-right axis, Governance employs our multivariate Entity Beliefs System. Combining internal ranking on up to 12 different co-existent axes, linguistic analysis and historical background, Entity Beliefs are truer in nature to the complex nature of ideological and non-ideological beliefs. Original belief systems and schools of thought surrounding a policy platform can develop and evolve as your game continues.

A history worth telling...

Machivelli said "whoever wishes foresee the future must consult the past" - if only he was around today to remind our politicians of this simple truth...

The actions you take today will completely change events in 10 years. A scandal you think you have buried could come back if you aren't wise to where it's coming from. The 'natural party of government' can collapse under its own weight.

You can use the in-game Wiki system and Address Book to find the movers and shakers, what information is both widely known about them... and what information you have learned that others haven't!

Have it your way.

Unhappy with modern British politics? Start your own party and see how it copes with our electoral system. Unhappy with the choices made by the party elites? Throw those policies away and move in your own direction! (If the party bigwigs will let you...)

Governance also includes deep tooling to help you mod the game further, allowing you to create new events, belief systems and parties for your own custom scenarios with ease*.
