Tasty Beverage is a hybrid of Roguelite Action and Incremental Idler where you build your own army of followers to overthrow a corrupt international corporation that secretly runs the world!

Start out as a humble tinfoil character and build up your crew, money, influence, and resources to resist the rising threat. On the way up, you will have different types of competitors: rival crews who want to keep you down, enforcement agencies under the command of your enemies. As your squad's skills and arsenal rises, you may organize your own attacks on enemy safehouses to root them out. Or you can try a more peaceful approach, its up to you who you want to be!

Choose how you will approach this - Spread your message through music? Cultist Devotion? Or use violent force? There are different paths you could take, and all of them share the same goal - exposing and taking down the dystopian megacorporation.

What Can You Do

Tasty Beverage will receive free updates for a good while. The game will be constantly updated with new content, new features, and more things to do that deepen the gameplay and overall feel, while fixing bugs and improving the smoothness of the whole experience. Here is what will be available in first, early release:

• For action, explore a procedurally generated, top-down city where civilians, rivals, and police gradually respond to your actions.

• Switch between street-level action and a safehouse mode where you plan, recover, and progress your run. You can progress your goals in both of these modes, as you manage risk to not be intercepted by rival crews or the police.

• Perform legal or illegal actions to gain money, influence, and useful items such as guns and weapons.

• Equip your squad with weapons and other equipment (armor) or auto-assign if you want to avoid micromanaging.

• Recruit new members, and choose to take them with you on risky jobs if you feel they are ready.

• Train squad members to be more useful and stay safe during risky situations.

• Launch raids on rival headquarters targets, and fight through separate away-mission locations.

• Defend yourself from enemy raids on your own safehouse. Both in siege preparation stages and gunfight stage.

• Invest in upgrading your safehouse for extra perks and safeguards from specific risky situations that some factions may sometimes force on you - like air raids event or poison gas event.
  
  
  This game was in part inspired by a classic, lesser known amazing text-based game Liberal Crime Squad, goal is to make a brand new game that takes the squad management aspects and modernizes it with more action and idler elements for depth and higher intractability. We hope to add a lot more content than what's mentioned above, so keep an eye out for news!
