About This Game

Déunocta is a mixed media solo development art project by Aaron H. Johnson using a combination of digital and practical effects featuring art from my extensive portfolio, new age and old.  A cut and punch 90's style tactical action First Person Shooter. You play as Cassidy Chrome, An armored Psych Witch fighting in a corrupted Dimension. Powered by EFPSE

In a realm where witchcraft evolved along side technology, a lone marauder, Cassidy Chrome seeks vengeance against a tyrannical demi god who enslaves souls to conquer worlds and prolong his immortality. Cassidy, trained in the black arts fights against undead corrupted entities in a forsaken world.

Useful tips 

Déunocta plays like an old school shooter similar to Doom or Duke Nukem 3d most levels contain 3 key pickups, labeled by colors used to open Blue, Red and Yellow doors. Secrets and health pickups are scattered throughout to help you on your journey. Remember if you get lost you have a map (tab). If you can't see you have a flashlight (f). If you're having trouble fitting a space in you can crouch (shift) and jump while crouching (space). If you feel you are being hit and can't find where it's coming from it is best to get behind cover. Enemies , if not visible tend to hide behind bunkers. Levels very in length but each can roughly be completed within 20 minutes for the average player. There is a perilous fight ahead, at times you may think you are lost and at times you may be frightened to find yourself. Don't give up on this battle. 

How the art of Déunocta was made 

I used a wide range of different art mediums including hand painted ceramic clay and plastic sculptures, figure models, spraypainted hand crafted weapon props, multiple photography techniques with filter editing, hand drawn digital art/pixel art upscaled digital textures, watercolor, acrylic, oil paintings, Copic marker drawings, color pencil drawings and yes even tattoos. My brother and I did the voice acting, he also mixed the soundtrack. additional sound effects were made with multiple objects and further edited in and added to digitally. I hope to learn more and integrate more advanced gameplay into Déunocta 2!
