Diluvion 1.2 Beta has Gamepad Controls, Name

Hello again fellow divers!

Gamepad Controls
The latest version of the Diluvion 1.2 beta has been uploaded to beta branch, and it includes gamepad controls. There's some handy new features in this version, such as being able to use the bumpers to cycle between characters & stations.

So far we've tested with Xbox One / 360 controllers, so if anyone has other controllers they'd like to test with, it would be much appreciated!

Also, we've decided to go with Diluvion: Resubmerged for the official name of 1.2 Thanks to Thuzar for the suggestion!

Since there's new text in this version of the game, we'll be posting a new localization doc soon for community translations of additional languages. Since there's a significant cost to localization we will only be localizing the original launch languages ourselves. However, we'll gladly implement any languages that the community is able to localize.

Full Changelist
  • gamepad implementation
  • 'Ghost of Morgensonne' quest revisions
  • hidden UI is still interactible - fixed
  • an empty iron minnow gets placed in players ship inventory - fixed
  • banquet hall shouldnt finish until you speak to athena - fixed
  • objective marked [none] displays when undocking from fountain of honor - fixed
  • Charles Spirios quest - implemented
  • on pirate bounty, the 'destroy first group' objective gets marked as complete automatically - fixed
  • Steel Hammer - implemented
  • fix positioning of sailors in stations so they never overlap officers
  • The Connoiseur - implemented
  • Naglfar hazards revised
  • Landmarks not appearing on compass - fixed
  • Sonar Guild quest - implemented
  • when torpedo module is removed, torpedo ammo HUD shows bolt ammo - fixed
  • when torpedo module first activated, the torpedo HUD doesn't get instantiated - fixed
  • fix positioning of item descriptor in loot panel
  • Added popup to explain Coolant tanks if you have no engine kits
  • Overdrive doesn't display "heating up" graphic after upgrade - fixed

Until next time!

Diluvion Beta: June Update

Hey there! It's been quite some time since our last announcement. We have a new update to the beta, and this is a big one!

The beta's main quest line is now complete from start to finish.

We've fleshed out the Abyssal Trench quite a bit, and there's a lot of new stuff to see there.

Check out our update video here

We'd also like your input on what the full title should be: Right now it's between Diluvion: Accretion and Diluvion: Sunken Grimoire. Let us know in the comments!

  • Completed quest chain in Sunken Coast
  • Completed quest chain in Abyssal Trench
  • Items can be used in hazard battles while salvaging
  • Completely revised quest update HUD
  • Added 'Crew Overview', 'Sub Overview' panels to Captain's Tools
  • Fixed Sonar bug where signals were never decaying
  • Fixed bug where AI would use player's ammo
  • Crew Exchange - crew can be placed on standby when swapping to a smaller ship
  • Fixed numerous small UI bugs
  • Revised munition effects
  • New scenes for forging an upgrade, swapping ships, upgrading chassis

What's Next
First on our todo list is to complete the script for the few remaining side quests so that we can begin full localization. While that's happening, we'll be working on gamepad implementation and general polish.

Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoy the latest build. :)
