The galaxy is dying. The lanes are collapsing. Your squad is a random bunch of beings with nothing in common but a strong preference for not being unalived. Lumentide is a tactical roguelike about finding the route least likely to get you killed, and a story that makes perfect sense. Eventually.

About This Game

LUMENTIDE

Stars are going out. Routes are collapsing. We're absolutely screwed.

Humans just barely got into known space, and the Lantern Route is already coming apart.

A random handful of pilots, each in their own ship, are stuck holding the line.

They didn't sign up for this. They definitely didn't sign up for you: a disembodied presence from somewhere on the other side of the glass, clicking on things and making life-or-death decisions on their behalf. They would very much like to keep existing. Please click responsibly.

Lumentide is a tactical turn-based roguelike about pretending you have a plan, finding the route least likely to get everyone killed, and dragging your crew through one more system before the darkening catches up.

Route Through the Darkening

Every run charts a fresh star map across the Lantern Route. Some routes are slightly less bad than others. Good luck telling which.

- Navigate a shifting star map where every node is a decision and every decision is a fight, a gamble, or a tense breather

- Fight pirates, patrols, and whatever the void is currently growing in its spare time

- Stop to patch your hull, gamble on mystery signals, or buy wares from a shopkeeper who has opinions and questionable inventory

Load Your Ships. Mash the Fire Button. See What Happens.

Half tactics. Half quantum slot machine. You decide what goes on each ship before the fight starts. The fight decides whether you regret it.

- Pre-load each ship with weapons, shields, and specials — the loadout is the plan

- Every turn your sockets fill with quantum-entangled options — pick your shots, mash the fire button, and hope for the best

- Line up two, three, four, or five of a kind across your sockets for escalating damage and shield bonuses

- Read enemy patterns, plan ahead, and occasionally panic-tap your special

Command Your Crew

You are not alone out here. This is not as comforting as it sounds.

- Build a squad of awkward, opinionated pilots, who each bring their own bonuses, specials, and opinions they are happy to share mid-fight

- Keep them alive long enough to be useful, and they might return the favor

What You're Getting

- Tactical roguelike runs where every decision is super, super important, just like in all other roguelikes

- Procedurally-generated star maps that are different every time and unfair in new and exciting ways

- A squad of pilots who have personalities, problems, and interesting ways to defeat their enemies

- A galaxy that is actively dying while your crew quietly insists they are doing fine, except for Dave, Dave is fine
