About This Game

Trace of the Villa is a first-person horror adventure game that follows Jin’s investigation into his sister’s disappearance. Players explore abandoned locations, collect clues, unlock sealed rooms, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover the truth hidden behind the silence.

Chapter 1 serves as the beginning of the story.
Players follow the first lead that brings Jin closer to the mansion, experiencing the core atmosphere of the game: exploration, puzzle-solving, tension, and the feeling of stepping into a place filled with unanswered questions. The Chapter 1 demo shows the foundation of Trace of the Villa — not only as a horror experience, but as an investigation where every clue matters.

Chapter 2 expands the world and raises the stakes.
Larger areas, stronger chase elements, new clues, and hidden records reveal that Jin’s search may be connected to something far bigger than a single missing person case. Documents, transfer records, locked structures, and traces left behind suggest that the mansion and its surroundings may have been used to hide people, move them, and erase their identities.

And now, Chapter 3 is currently in development.

In Chapter 3, Jin’s investigation begins to move beyond the mansion. The clues discovered in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 were only fragments of a larger truth. Chapter 3 will introduce new locations, deeper story progression, stronger horror sequences, and more important evidence that may be directly connected to his sister’s disappearance.

The newly released gameplay footage from the Chapter 1 demo and Chapter 2 preview has been shared to show how Trace of the Villa continues to evolve. Players will not simply walk through dark spaces. They will gather evidence, interpret records, unlock hidden systems, and follow Jin’s investigation step by step.

The mansion was not the end.
It was a waypoint — a place connected to something larger.

After years of searching, Jin finally has something he thought was gone forever:

A chance.

A chance to find his sister.
A chance to uncover the truth.
A chance to follow the trail that others tried to erase.

But some truths are not meant to be found,
and some trails lead to places far worse than silence.

Trace of the Villa Chapter 3 is now in development.
We are currently working on new content, internal testing, gameplay flow, horror direction, and build stability. More updates will be shared on Steam as development progresses.

---------------------------------------------------

Jin has been searching for his missing sister for years.

Every lead has gone cold. Every trail has ended in silence.

Until now.

A lead that pointed him to a decaying mansion, a property cut off from the grid and deliberately forgotten. No recent records. No active ownership. No reason for anyone to be there. Yet the signs of past occupancy are unmistakable… and deeply unsettling.

What begins as a routine investigation quickly becomes personal.

Inside, the mansion feels less abandoned than erased. Rooms remain furnished as if their occupants vanished mid-routine. Locked doors conceal hastily secured secrets. Personal belongings sit undisturbed, but there are no photographs, no names, no history — as if identities themselves were removed. The silence is suffocating, heavy with the sense that something happened here that was never meant to be discovered.

When Jin restores power to the estate, the house begins to reveal what it was hiding. Secured systems come back online. Hidden compartments unlock. Safes yield fragments of encrypted documents and suspicious transfer records. Each puzzle solved uncovers another layer of a carefully concealed operation — financial trails that lead nowhere, falsified identities, and evidence suggesting people passed through this place under strict control.

This was never just a residence.

It was part of something larger.

As Jin pieces together the timeline, a disturbing pattern emerges: arrivals without records, departures without witnesses, movements masked behind false paperwork and coded destinations. The mansion wasn’t the end of the line; it was a waypoint.

But the truth it holds is incomplete.

Recovered manifests and hints indicate that whoever was taken from here was moved onward, transported somewhere beyond the estate’s walls. For the first time in years, Jin doesn’t just have questions — he has direction.

And the implications are terrifying.

Because the dates, methods, and secrecy align too closely with his sister’s disappearance to be a coincidence. The evidence suggests that whatever happened here may be connected to the case that has consumed his life — and that she may have been carried along the same hidden path.

Now the investigation becomes a pursuit.

Armed with fragile clues and a trail that leads into the unknown, Jin prepares to follow it beyond the mansion, toward the people responsible and the truth they worked so hard to bury.

After years of searching, he finally has something he thought was gone forever:

A chance.

But some truths are not meant to be found — and some trails lead to places far worse than silence.
