Why Early Access?

“Slotbound’s core gameplay loop is already fully playable, but there is still a lot of room to expand its build variety, progression, balance, and long-term replayability.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to develop these systems alongside the community. Feedback from players is especially valuable for a game like Slotbound, where small changes to units, items, cores, enemies, and progression can create completely different strategies.

We want to use Early Access to make Slotbound deeper, more varied, and more replayable while keeping the game simple and easy to understand.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last roughly 3–6 months.

This may change depending on development progress and community feedback. We would rather take the time needed to improve the game than commit to a fixed release date too early.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand Slotbound with deeper unit progression, additional items and cores, more permanent progression.

We also plan to explore larger long-term features such as an Infinite Mode, higher unit progression tiers, and asynchronous PvP.

Balance, quality of life features, localization, and overall replayability will also continue to be improved throughout Early Access.

These plans may evolve based on development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains the complete core Slotbound experience: the slot-machine summoning system, automatic battles, unit absorption and promotion, items, cores, permanent progression, and a six-stage campaign with multiple difficulty levels.

Each stage features different enemies, bosses, and mechanics, while the unit and item systems allow players to build their army differently from run to run.

The game is fully playable from the beginning of a run through the campaign, but several progression systems, build options, balance improvements, and long-term modes are still planned to be expanded during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price won't be change.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of Slotbound’s Early Access development.

We plan to actively read feedback through Steam Discussions, Discord, reviews, bug reports, and other community channels. In particular, we want player feedback to help us improve unit and item balance, difficulty, build variety.

We also plan to share updates regularly and adjust development priorities when recurring issues or particularly interesting ideas emerge from the community.”
