Why Early Access?

“"The Backrooms: Travel" is an online horror game with a Backrooms theme. We chose to offer early access because we hope players can enter this ever-expanding liminal space in advance and participate in the game's development process. Your feedback will directly influence the design of future levels, adjustments to monsters, and the addition of new features. We believe that with the help of the community, we can create a better Backrooms game that players will love!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to have an early experience lasting about 1-2 years and gather community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include more levels, more types of entities, richer puzzle mechanics, and a more complete online experience. We plan to release a content update every 5-6 months during the Early Access period, gradually adding new layers and features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, Level 4, Levelfen, Level 37, and Level! Seven levels in total, supporting up to 4 players in co-op, with playable content of about 1-2 hours. Core gameplay includes exploration, puzzles, and avoiding entities. The game is continuously in development :)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to appropriately raise the price after the early access period ends as new content is added. Players who purchase during the early access period will not need to pay the difference and will directly receive the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community in development through the following methods:

1. Steam Community Forum: Regularly post development logs and respond to every comment and feedback.

2. Discord/QQ Groups: Establish player communities to collect bug reports and gameplay suggestions.

3. Regular Updates: Adjust monsters, level designs, and multiplayer experience based on community feedback.

4. Voting Mechanism: Let the community vote on major updates (such as the next new level).
