🌟 Welcome to the CMChar Your Virtual Companion Demo!

This demo was created to give you a "taste" of what it's like to have your own virtual mascot/assistant on your screen. You can test basic interactions, explore the UI, and understand the software's core. To keep the experience focused, this version has some restrictions.

What’s in the Demo (and what awaits you in the Full Version):

  • 🤖 AI Model (Base Only): Interact with our Ollama standard AI. (🔒 Full Version: Import custom models, change personalities, and unlock "Creativity" levels for responses).

  • ⭐ Limited Progression: Level up your companion up to Level 5. (🔒 Full Version: No level caps – evolve as much as you want).

  • 🧠 Short-term Memory: In this Demo, the AI only remembers the last interaction (10-message history). (🔒 Full Version: Expanded memory for deep, ongoing conversations).

  • 🖥️ Screen Presence: 1 active character at a time. (🔒 Full Version: Multiple characters active on your screen simultaneously).

  • 👒 Essential Cosmetics: Unlock up to 3 items (earning rewards every 10 min) and equip 1 at a time. (🔒 Full Version: Unlimited collection, outfits, and multiple equipment slots).

  • 🎨 Basic Customization: Default theme, "Top/Bottom" bubble positions, and restricted scaling. (🔒 Full Version: Total creative freedom, multiple themes, and absolute UI control).

  • ⏱️ Focus & Productivity: Open Calculator (🔒 Full Version: Voice Commands, Pomodoro Timer, Reminders, and advanced Productivity Tools).

💡 A note on the Demo UI: You will see several grayed-out options with a lock (🔒) icon. These are visible so you can see exactly which amazing features are waiting for you in the full version!

This game utilizes Artificial Intelligence to generate dynamic text-based conversations with virtual desktop mascots, allowing them to react primarily to user input. The application supports for now local offline AI (via Ollama) A comprehensive local safety filter is implemented to prevent the generation of harmful or illegal content.
